I’ve always seen cmt types for FBSM. What is the difference between getting an FBSM from a CMT vs. an escort? The most recent lady I visited, who advertised both, seemed perplexed when I didn’t want full service even though we had already agreed to FBSM. I think I like the furthest an FBSM will go and an escort would have to throttle back since I’m not looking for FS. What do you think?

That said, I've have seen a few CMT who, after a while, and with some prompting, will do at least a HE, if not a bit more.

 
Generally you can be assured of an excellent massage with a CMT, not so much for other massage gals.

Sorry, I wasn’t very clear on the  CMT bit. What I meant to say is those that offer FBSM with good massage skills and they start from there. I guess I enjoy pursuing the top end of an FBSM (shower, oral, mutual) and the low end of an escort (DATY, oral).

ten years ago I quit accepting massage from SW's.  Likewise, I don't seek sexual services from CMT's.  In fact, I will often have a session with a provider and then go to a CMT for a good massage afterward.  

Yeah, it's a little frustrating to search a website based on services and find escorts advertising they do massage but sticking with the "paying for my time, not service" mantra.

 
I've had a lot of fun with FBSM providers who will go beyond the basics with clients that they like. And while there are a few escorts that I've seen several times, all of my long-term regulars started out as massage providers. Some I was happy with the massage + oral limit and others I enjoyed more with, but starting with massage only was a great way to establish connection with less emphasis on performance from either party. The entry price point ain't bad either.  

 
As others have said in so many words, just don't be a dick and walk into a legit therapist's office hoping for a blowjob.

Thanks, John_LaRoche, perfectly said. I totally agree on your approach. I initially used the term CMT incorrectly, as I just meant someone who offers FBSM with those massage skills. I guess I’m slowly moving towards FBSM+. And of course, I would never approach a real CMT with any suggestions.

Many states require a license to practice massage (and barbering, etc.). License requirements specify classroom learning, practical exams, and continuing education for license renewals.

If you advertise CMT (certified massage therapist) or LMT (licensed massage therapist) but are neither C or L, it's an easy bust and conviction for LE, even easier than trying to get a conviction for prostitution. In some states, it's a felony, not a misdemeanor.

If you ARE a CMT or LMT and offer "extras" you can lose your license, as mrfisher pointed out. One of the license requirements is a vague "be of good moral character."
