hell of a lot of money for a provider working from a street corner.

I was channel surfing recently and started rewatching the movie "Pretty Woman".  There is a scene where Richard Gere and Julia Roberts negotiate the cost of her spending the entire week with him.

They settled on $3000.  LOL   The movie came out in 1990.

At the beginning. She’s be labeled a rip off or non gfe. Kinda like someone you’d find on LAexotic, or LALadies.
But other then $$$, have times really changed ?

girlfriend is the same shit ,minus the hassle ,commitment, and  drama. Had a few overnights , but did not pay $3000 ; however ,she may have gotten that amount  over time as am always kinf and generous with her .

the main character in the movie Pretty Woman is a streetwalker:
The character: In the movie, Julia Roberts plays a kindhearted prostitute who is picked up by a wealthy suitor, played by Richard Gere, on the streets of Hollywood.

She never had a date that took longer, than a couple of minutes, so it’s levels to sex work & in my opinion street walkers are on the lower end. I have never walked the hoe stroll, or the blade, nor have I jumped in cars for car dates.

Some people start in the streets  and move up to more favorable circumstances. It's not about where you from, but where you  are or going .

Hey Bia you realize you just offended one of your pals from the community, MrsKitty. She apparently does awesome work in back seats.

Come on man please be more sensitive. I got triggered by your caustic language and had to up my Adderall.
If you’re not going to be helpful please don’t engage here.
Thanks and have a Biautiful day

Yes girl!! me neither! excellent point about the levels of sex work :-)

Never know what jewel you may find on these street corners.

jewels, I will shop in a jewelry store.   Lol

Rambo can kill ten guys with a single bullet, and never misses.  His enemies surround him at point blank range and can't hit him.  It's an appeal to the audience of males who fantasize about being the undefeatable hero.
.
The audience for Pretty Women is girls who dream of landing the rich handsome billionaire.  All aspects are similarly of the conquering hero in the flavor that females desire.  Of course she's going to get $$$.

I would disagree with you equating Rambo to Pretty Women in that way.

For a young girl to imagine landing her a rich billionaire in the context of Julia Roberts landing Richard Gere, would require her to first of all imagine herself as a street walker. Who imagines themselves as a low grade hooker turning tricks?  Now if you are saying that audience of Pretty Women  are girls who dream of falling in love against insurmountable odds and getting married to man of their dreams, I am more likely to buy into that thought process. Doesn't have to be rich, handsome, or billionaire. A lot of women are attracted to personality than  just looks.

Personality, Looks and $500 to $1,000,000,000  gives you many options for getting laid.
