j/k When I posted above, the place I had in mind is International Smoke in downtown S.F. I think they have a Jamaican special of some kind going on. The "special" meaning the focus on a Jamaican inspired/influenced dish or dishes. If you were thinking mostly of getting a drink vs eating, there are a number of spots along the Embarcadero which seem lively. I haven't been to many, since I don't spend a ton of time in The City but when I've driven past, I've seen some spots with people around having a good time. 
San Francisco has a lot of great spots, but I have just the spot in mind that I think you would enjoy.
