They live in their own little world with "alternate facts." IOW...Trumpers. lol.
Billionaire & Long Time Democrat Donor/Supporter Bill Ackman:
The most powerful moment for me was that I truly believed that Trump had said the neo-nazis and the white nationalists were among the 'very fine people' who were protesting. It takes about two minutes to actually watch what he said and realize that he said precisely the opposite. He said I'm not talking about the neo-nazis and the white nationalists when he said, 'very fine people.'
That's the moment when you realize, oh my god, I really have been misled by the media. You look at the 60 Minutes excerpting that was done of Kamala, and you realize how much you can be manipulated, particularly by taped and excerpted media. If I'm trying to get to the truth, I want to hear the voice of the candidate, untaped, unscripted, without the teleprompter."
Heck I was one of them till I listened to the full piece. Proof positive of the left’s gas lighting.
Another much more obvious example is the lie that Trump is going to turn the military loose on the civilian population. Or that Trump is going to jail journalists.
You know for a fact that Rachael Maddie or Nicole Wallace or Mika Brazinski or Jen Saki do NOT for one second believe they are actually going to be jailed if Trump gets into office. But oh boy just listen to them… “he’s gonna throw us in Jail.” They all cry!
Blue 🥶 goooo pushers! Personally I hope all their careers go completely down the drain!
But that’s just me.

And it won’t be long before they’re out of business. Already, a bunch of media businesses have gone under. That will only continue. The Washington Post would be bankrupt right now if Bezos weren’t bailing them out every month.
Pray tell, Wanker, which ones? Or are you pulling a CDL?
Who recently moved out of their CNN Center Home after 35 years to a much smaller studio. This move came after horrific ratings, failed CNN+ plus subscription service and countless advertisers moving to more popular networks due to lack of viewership. Fox takes the top viewership spot most months. CNN became the joke of Atlanta and their far left views almost cost them their business. You'd think they would have learned from that.
So AC360, which I am watching right now, is a mirage?
Did you not read my paragraph??
I said they moved because they almost lost the farm. That's a fact. Not opinion. Re-read.
The topic was companies that have gone under. CNN is NOT one of those companies. Follow the thread bro. Yeesh.
But I clearly responded appropriately with the current state of CNN and what happened to them recently in the body of my post.
Splitting hairs seems to be your Forte. This is why you can't get pussy on your own.
about that "bunch" of media outlets going under. I don't know of any major media outlets in financial trouble. The Washington Post doesn't report public numbers but its well known Bezos is bankrolling it. So it's not going anywhere. Same goes for the NY Post. The right-wing rag owned by Murdoch has been a money-loser for years. But it's not going anywhere either.
They live in their own little world with "alternate facts." IOW...Trumpers. lol.
Wrong, I stated a fact. You just wanted to argue about it.
IOW...... classic democrat.
CNN's ratings were down but they are owned by Warner Discovery, a massive, multi-billion dollar corporation. There was never the remotest chance they would go out of business. What they did was cut costs and move toward the center, which most rational, non-duped people believe they did.
Buy a clue, SPOAT.
with the few thousand viewers they have. Just don't expect honest journalism or accurate polls. With their SLIGHT move towards the center, they managed to get past MSNBC in audience size, but their ratings are still miles behind Fox News.
They are NOW owned by WB. Before that, the network was tanking by the day. When WB acquired then in 2022, the damage was done. As a result of a massive loss of primetime viewership and loss of advertisers, they made a decision in 2023 to move out of their long time home and downsize to the new studio. So YES, the ridiculous amount of TDS that CNN displayed almost "lost them.the farm" and they know it. It's no secret.
Make sure you have your facts straight (something you absolutely hate) before remotely acting like you know what your talking about.
CNN has been owned by Warner's parent companies since 1996. Before that it was part of the independent Turner Broadcasting. The corporate parent of Warner has changed on several occasions but CNN has ALWAYS been owned by Warner since 1996. Warner did NOT "acquired then (sic) in 2022." Parent company Warner was MERGED with Discovery in 2022. But Warner ran CNN before and AFTER the merger.
The SPOAT is the poster boy for not knowing what he's talking about. But that won't stop him from arguing about the facts of this case, which are a matter of public record.
Here are the actual facts from Wikipedia:
"The channel's success made a bona-fide mogul of founder Ted Turner and set the stage for conglomerate Time Warner's (later WarnerMedia which merged with Discovery Inc. forming Warner Bros. Discovery) eventual acquisition of the Turner Broadcasting System in 1996."
In other words, CNN has been under Warner management since 1996 NOT 2022.
Please stop embarrassing yourself. Oh, right. You can't help it.
WB / Discover acquired CNN in 2022 after their TDS almost sunk them. Whether you like it or not. Your lies don't work on facts ma'am.
"WB/Discovery" did NOT acquire CNN in 2022. Discover and WB MERGED. CNN was run by WB both BEFORE and AFTER the merger, which had ZERO to do with later changes at CNN. Whether you like it or not. The merger had no functional impact on CNN at all. Ask me how I know. Dare ya.
Now tell us, SPOAT, if WB didn't own CNN before 2022, who did?
Stop lying about it. But thanks for putting up a link which actually proved my point, not yours.
My link clearly explains what I said. TATL just continues to make shit up as usual. So not on is TATL TERs All Time Liar, he's also Mr MSU now. Making Shit Up.
You're welcome for providing a link that proved my point, not yours.
You sure know how to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Something simple like this and you get your girl pants is a wad. I'd expect no less from a liar though.
So, suppose an industry slowly begins to die. What happens? Smaller companies fail first, then medium sized ones and the. The big ones. Or they get bought out and merged with another company. Not too many people using dial up internet these days, but AOL merged with Time Warner. Netflix tried to sell to Blockbuster but Blockbuster laughed at them. Now look where they are.
The same thing is happening with media. Anyone remember Gawker? How about Vice News? How about Jezebel? How about Sports Illustrated?

Even with CNN, who’s parent Warner/Discovery is 9 BILLION in the hole, and the company may end up selling off it’s assets like CNN.
The entire media is crumbling. And that’s only going to continue. Before the decade is out could we see CBS News, ABC, NBC go out of business? I don’t know, but I wouldn’t gamble on them still being around in 5 years.
"The media" isn't failing. It isn't "collapsing." It's being transformed by the Internet and this has been going on for 20 years. Old wine in new bottles.
Willy made good points, but you two have not agreed on definitions. I read Willy’s comments talking about the old (or legacy) media. That’s what Bill Ackman was talking about in the quote above, old media.
Nicky’s only correct in the sense that yes, one form of media is replacing another. But it’s not old wine in new bottles. The old bottles are being poured out and thrown away and a fresh new vintage is being bottled.

From the article (which btw is from CNN)
“News outlets are collapsing as advertisers flock to social media platforms.”
For icky D and his new found acolyte, quit your idiotic hair splitting,, at best it makes you look petty. At worst? You don’t want to know what worst is.
