Yeah, I'm being really sarcastic here.  But this is why my #1 rule is don't do anything to compromise my real life info.  If that data somehow falls into the wrong hands it creates a huge problem.  The only way I know to ensure that does not happen is for me never to provide it.

Thanks for posting this.

Just got this lovely message: I inform you that you have serious problems with my escort agency I have several reports that you have been sending text messages and calls to my escorts on the websites and you have only made many of my workers lose their work time for which we have imposed a fine which you must pay to solve this problem if you lose communication with me or turn off the phone we will immediately proceed with all your information and I will send my best men to do their job, I have photos, addresses and place of work of you and a member of your family so tell me if you are going to solve the problem for good, because if you refuse to pay you will see the consequences of what is going to happen to you so I need a positive answer tell me if you are going to pay for the good yes or no!???? Look at what happens to each of the people who try to play with my business and with my escorts, so if you refuse to pay or try to lose the communication with me, I will immediately give the order to my men who have all your information to go home and pay with your life this problem so I hope a positive answer??????

Did you give any of  your personal information to someone?

Order my men...LOL. Over the years, I've got similar messages, but I blow them off

No, I did not. Other than my number. I certainly did not threaten anybody to elicit this response. Texted I will not do deposit and they keep texting back and I continue to respond.

I suggest you stop responding.  Nothing good can come of this.  You might want to consider getting a new hobby phone.

...Nobody talks like that.  IMO this is a foreign operator who ran their own gibberish through a google translate app and sent it.

This does lead to a still unanswered question though.  What steps to "reputable" providers take in handling, storing and/or destroying personal information from clients?  I realize this question will trigger some because I've emphasized reputable but it's constantly thrown in our face as some sort of qualifier that will provide a level of comfort knowing they won't use it against us sometime down the road in the same manner taking place in the OP's post.

There are some great and probably quite trustworthy gals out there but what do they do to secure/protect this info from exactly these type of people who would love to hack into that data.

It seemed like the “providers” do not understand English. I did find one legit provider on there a couple years ago and I know of one other legit provider who is on there. The volume of ads and many of the pics are too good to be true.

Sorry if I seem naive or dumb. Just wanted to start a discussion about the site and then the text came in.

Anyone advertsing, Anal, bareback, blow jobs, car dates and open 24/7 is a scammer on megapersonals.  These advertisements are posted  by criminal organizations in countries like Cambodia and the workers monitoring the postings are recruited from all over Southeast Asia and the working conditions can best be described as modern day slavery.  Never pay a deposit in Megapersonals.
