I don't know the area at all. Which areas do ladies avoid and which are safe to stay? I like good, organic, healthy whole foods, the natural beauty of nature spaces and have good people around me. I'm not into random shopping too much beyond what I need, I find it time consuming and boring. When I visit I love to visit museums, historical places, Native American lands, antique shops, farmers markets, etc. I gotta get my mind and belly stimulated too!!! So being by a mall isn't my thing.
I don't like crowds but will tolerate them if need be.
Hi! I am excited to hear that you want to visit us soon! I would recommend the Buckhead or Galleria areas for sure. Buckhead is a staple, upscale part of the city similar to West Loop or River North. Whereas Galleria (or The Battery) area has been totally transformed by the building of the new Braves stadium/restaurants/Shopping…..hotels will be a bit more affordable but it will still be very accessible to most professional men.
If you don't mind a little walking, you could locate close to a MARTA rail station in the Northern part of city, for example, Buckhead Station. The rail lines can take you close to a lot of the attractions in which you have an interest, for example, Mid-Town Station is close to Piedmont Park, Arts-Center Station is close to a Whole Foods, the Arts Center Station is across the street from the High Museum of Art, etc. One thing that is not close is the Buford Highway Farmers Market, but you can ride the rail to Doraville Station then take a cab/uber. MARTA fare is relatively cheap and safe during the day.
