After moving to the area, I had been following some of Alex's social media for a few months. I decided to reach out to her. Communication was quick and easy, but because of our schedules, it took a few weeks for our schedules to line up. As I headed down to the hotel where we were meeting, DC traffic was, as usual, crazy and packed. The traffic jam through me behind and I texted her to let her know I was running late, which she was fine with. I parked in the hotel's deck and she gave me her room number.
