My photo in her DM

I've noticed a strange new thing on Seeking that perhaps someone here can explain.  It happens when I receive a first DM from a previously unknown SB.  I see the following disclaimer, as usual, at the bottom of the screen:
Tip: Never send or ask for money or gift cards before meeting. Never share or request banking information. Report anyone who does.

But I also see my own lead profile photo, in a grey box, with her message as a caption below it.  Is this a new feature being offered to SBs who contact a SD?  Why would they even want to send me a copy of my own photo?  It feels weird.  I've received about a half dozen like this in the past week.

I noticed this a few weeks ago when Seeking made it possible to favorite specific profile pics, as well as the overall profile.

When a user clicks the heart icon on a pic, a dialog pops up with the pic and a space to type a message. That is what you are seeing. The POT is clicking the favorite heart on your main pic and sending you an attached message. Seeking then displays your pic and her message in your inbox.

My guess here seems to align with my past speculations: Seeking is trying to spark more "engagement" by making it easy, almost mandatory, to message.  It is, IMO, actually a subtle push to get the POT to do more than just click favorite, because it looks like the user HAS to add a message to complete the favorite action. But the user can skip the message and the favorite will still go through. Or the user can go back the profile list view (in search results, or in the home page) and still click favorite at the profile level without seeing a message prompt.

Thanks so much for the explanation but I'm still confused.  I have def noticed that "When a user clicks the heart icon on a pic, a dialog pops up with the pic."   I see the pop up, and under the photo it says "say something nice to (her name)" .  But I don't see any "space to type a message."  Am I missing something?  One more observation:  if you heart the pic that popped up, and then later un-heart it, and then change your mind and try to heart it again, the pic pops up and you can heart it, but there's no suggestion to send a message.
