Having worked for an agency, I can tell you the advantages to gentlemen: 1) one stop shopping, ie a man can call one number and get a girl in his area. He doesn't have to call a bunch of different numbers and wait for calls back cuz the indy girls are already in calls. 2) Consistent quality, ie same GFE from all the girls at that service. No wondering about what you're gonna get. 3) Less hassles with references, ie once you're in to see one girl, you can see them all without going thru reference checks everytime you want to try something new. 4) Easier to get two girl calls, ie one call and the phone operator can set you up with two at one time cuz PO has all the girls schedules right there. As opposed to indy where they have to call you back after they try to get ahold of their gf and see her availability.

All that said, I enjoy independent appointments because I have greater flexibilty with my schedule.... with everything there is the good and bad

I wouldn't use an indie who asked for personal info either.

True, the hobby has risks, but why not minimize them?  Giving personal info to people in an illegal business, especially where you know they're often targets (as the article confirms), is just playing russian roulette.

I don't just happen to prefer indies -- I just have an aversion to suicidal behavior.  Obviously, everyone's free to do whatever they prefer, but I'm wondering what causes such risky and irrational behavior.  Is it that people just don't think it through?  That they trust the women's promises not to rat on them or balckmail/harass them?  That they think the risk is so small that it's worth the enormous negative consequences?
