That's what I thought too and for the most part its been true. However I was in NYC a few months back and I contacted a highly rated provider via P411. Unfortunately, the response I got back was not the usual, "I'd love to see you, etc..." instead I was told by her asst that I would also need to provide my full name, employment info , etc... so that they could run an Intellius background check on me. When I questioned why this was necessary, given all many recent references/OK's, the response was that she had heard that some bad clients had bought off ladies to give them OK's. I could believe that it might be possible to fake 1 or 2 OKs somehow, but in this case it was frankly just a ridiculous idea. Needless to say we had different opinions on what reasonable screening should and should not entail. Fortunately, NYC is a big place with many lovely women and the next person I contacted responded with the standard "love to, just tell me when and how long"
When I'm traveling from out of town, if a provider demands to see my full travel itinerary, as well as emails from work that prove that the trip was indeed booked and approved when I said it was ... expecting me to send work emails from my company's servers to a hooker's email address mind you ... has the provider taken the whole "screening for safety" thing a little far?
Just curious.
Its her business and she can run it how she pleases.
I give very little and as limited information as I can Never:
re: last name, where employed, my drivers license etc....
I joined "Boards" to accommodate that as well as make her feel safe.
If I do not feel comfortable with her requirements, I simply explain and move on.
Some even put their requirements on their site which is helpful

It's all bullshit. It was not that long ago that references were not even used. References , P411 and even real names are no guarantee of anything. References were really started as "revenge" for the review system more than anything else. "Give me a bad review and you lose your reference."
To some girls it's become a marketing gimmick. By making it sound like you need to give up your first born child just to see them , they can make themselves sound "exclusive."
Guys simply need to man up. One reference or P411 is enough. The only real difference between a high class courtesan and a low end girl is price, marketing and packaging.
Did someone actually ask for all of that?
I can't imagine a provider asking for that as a routine.
A good way to turn the world's oldest profession into one woman's most recently failed profession
When I want to see a new girl, I just pre-screen on P411. The answer that always come back is: "what date/time would you like Honey?"
for me to send her a photo of myself about 4 hours before our appointment. I had contacted her about a week earlier, sent her all my references and she agreed to everything, only to ask for my photo a 4 hours before we were scheduled to meet. I said no, and she went ape shit on me, calling me a time waster and threatening to black list me if I ever called her again.
between my white lists and p411 ok's i haven't had to send a referral info for quite a while.
any girl who won't take these as references is not a girl i need to see.
... and every time I ask if using a verification would help. The answer is no.
that's too bad, i can't imagine, unless you have a terrible reputation under your dating handle.
sorry that kinda sucks.

But it's her business. Most I've given which I didn't think was necessary was name an company. She still wouldn't see me. Move on.
Maybe I'm naive but I think standard basic screening should be enough. If you're so paranoid that you need a guys inside leg measurement and family tree before you'll see him then maybe it's time to look for alternative work. Surely there are plenty of the usual screening methods available?
Its you? Just curious.
