I used to use money orders with a fake name and address that I made up, just for the occasion. But I also got tired of it and purchased the lifetime account, while the getting was good.

Which, if you're clever, you'll buy the gift card from one of these places so help alleviate the price hit when you turn it in. Buy it with bitcoin of course, and use a new wallet address, to keep things hard to track.
