My opinion is that for a massage with HJ 400 is on the high side. I've gotten a massage with BBBJ (no FS) for 320 for 90 minutes, and while there was no kissing, DATY was allowed.

20 Kgirl incalls where customers can get covered full service for $350-$400/hr, including BBBJ, DATY, DFK, and sometimes FIV, PLUS a massage to finish off the balance of the time on the clock, all from a slender Asian girl who is in her late 30's that can pass for 20's.  An outgoing personality is not going to make up for the difference in the service menu.  Sorry to be so blunt, but you are better off to know what you have to overcome before you spend the nine grand on the school.  Just keeping it real.  Good luck to you whatever you decide to do.  

$400 may be considered on the high end, but it's not out of the question. I have seen some in the $500-$700 range. It depends how you market it. I have seen hot young ladies who offer a massage and happy ending, with mutual touching, for $250. The common theme, they don't really know lick about giving a massage. They are not trained. With ladies like this, you are paying for them to touch you, you touch them, and a HJ. It's not really a mssage.

CDL knows the LA area so I'll ask this Q (as a suggestion). In NYC, some of the KMPs and AMPs will occasionally have a non-K, non-A girl on staff. (Portia was an English - Caribbean girl who came to the US around 2009 and got her start in a NYC KMP. http://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/isabella-portia-porsche-9175456749-183833 ). It was mutually beneficial for her AND the KMP.  It would require providing full service, but if you were allowed to spend some time working in a KMP you would really see what you were up against.

CDL: would a KMP allow a "massage only, HE" girl to work there, to bring in the "shy" clients? Obviously, she wouldn't command FS pricing, but it might actually bring in some new customers to work their way up from massage to FS.

mrfisher is an expert on "massage" spas in the Boston area. I don't think that 400 would work in Boston, either.  Other massage spas (from urban areas to the strip mall spas) often start in the $50 to $100 "house fee" and the customer then works out more details in the room / on the table with the masseuse.

Ah! CDL: Are there massage spas (not FS KMPs) in the LA area where the OP can find work that doesn't REQUIRE full service but maybe only HE?

And don't forget that many places advertise "body rub" or similar if the laws in that area require a LICENSE or CERTIFICATE to advertise "Massage" of any sort.

Those are not trained massage therapists. Someone trained charges $120-$150 just for a standard massage.

May find something there.  But $400 is gonna be off the table for most.  Even if it's an amazing massage.

AMP's in the area aren't typically getting customers looking for a real CMT or a real massage. They are getting customers looking for a halfway decent massage and a great HJ  (or FS) at the prices that I quoted. If a provider wants to offer a CMT level massage with a HJ and a limited menu like the one the OP listed here at the price she mentioned, she's better off going the Indy FBSM provider route rather than working out of a shop.

In the valley a one hour topless massage with body rub by a fairly hot 25 year old is in the $250-300 range. Many offer the fully nude, bbbj and FS upsell for $100 to $400. Search reviews and you will see 2 or 3 places where these services are offered with 5-10 girls rotating through. For $400-500 you can get the full service upsell with hot girls. With no upsells you better be young and hot, and even then your base price would have to be $250 to generate interest. Sorry but it doesn’t look like a match for you. You could try part timing at a place like I describe to see how it goes, but you would have to work under their price and sharing structure. I think these girls make their money on the upsell, not the base massage with HJ.

100% agree she’s best working indy. I thought that was the only option she was considering. If a guy just wants a weak massage and a rub off, you’re right he can get that cheap. I don’t think she can build a large client base, but if she’s aiming for 2-5 a week like she says, and she’s good at what she does, it’s possible.

In general ("East Coast, West Coast, all around the states. The tarts sing Ring-a-Rosie, London Bridge is falling down. ...") I agree with you that Licensed or Certified massage costs more than a simple "body rub."

The OP can test out the LA market by providing LEGAL "body rubs" at a spa or "massage" parlor. For one thing, she might find out that she can't stand massaging hairy, flabby bags of Pillsbury biscuit dough or Michelin Man fat rolls or the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!

Can some of the LA guys provide more advice on the local "body rub" places? If she is uncomfortable working at an LA spa for privacy reasons (not wanting to meet a co-worker or friend or relative there), what other city is convenient for a test run working only one or two days per week? San Diego? Las Vegas? Phoenix? ...? She should have a much better knowledge of the biz by talking to the boss ("How much is slip and fall insurance?") and the customers ("I know you're only spending $200 today, but would you pay me $400 for the same but BETTER service?") after just a few weeks.

These are not licensed massage therapists. The guys going to them care less about the massage and more about the extras. A good massage therapist is getting $150-$200 for a fully clothed standard massage. If she targets clients who want a legit massage with extras, there is an audience for it.

The reality is that race plays a signicant factor in market value. That said, $400 an hour seems to be a high rate for what you’re offering regardless of race. The pricing hierarchy for happy ending massages seems to go high to low (White, Latina, Asian, Black). Don’t forget that therapists almost always get tipped on top of their rates.

You are not wrong about race, unfortunately. It shouldn't be this way, and I feel bad for those who deserve to be equals and get less. But facts are facts. Not only is it race though, but body type. Age too. Breast size. There are numerous factors that determine what you can charge. It needs to be a realistic comparison to what she looks like.

"KMP" for Korean massage parlor is not really used.  In fact the original term of AMP (Asian MP) was used and were usually storefront massage shops with extras for an upsell.  When the Kgirl scene hit here in the '90's, Kgirls were distinguished by the term AAMP (Asian Apartment Massage Parlor), and this term is rarely used anymore because Kgirl incalls (which is now the most common term) usually have mostly sex and very little massage work going on.  As a result, the only Koreans working in AMP's are old, fat and/or ugly, because they are working for peanuts compared to when they were younger and doing full service (that's not to say you can't still get full service if you can keep an erection when confronted with old, fat and/or ugly.  Lol).  If they are still attractive enough for the full-service market, that is where they will be.  Consequently, most AMP's are now staffed by Vietnamese, Chinese, sometimes Thai, and more recently (due to open boarders) young Latina girls.  Japanese girls tend to work at the Korean incalls.  

Why invest in CMT certification if you’re offering erotic, sensual body rubs with happy endings? It’s a waste of $ unless you’re working in a high end  luxury hotel, or resort that never offers sexual services.  I know there’s a market for over 40 + lots of men prefer older & experienced women. Post ad on the LA board and start booking dates. Just be honest, and accurate about what you offer, and you will attract clients that you’re seeking. Best of luck!

Not that we need to know, but it's not clear whether you're considering this to test the waters for a career switch, have a little fun and get a little pocket change, etc.  Seems your ultimate goal might affect your decisions about whether and how to pursue this.

I take that to mean that, in CA, massage performance is more important to success than a piece of paper. If you can acquire skills from youtubes and books, and improve them by working at a spa, then you don't need to shell out the $9k and you can still practice in CA.

I repeat myself, but if you begin working at a spa, you can find out from your clients whether or not they think your skills are ready for Prime Time (and prime rates!). (According to posts by LA locals, the prime rates are paid at the upscale legit -- no rub and tug -- spas.)

FYI i have experienced poor HJ skills from $700 ladies ...  i think simply most guys pop with little effort and/or just thrilled to have it at all and thus there is little motivation for the ladies to improve.

I hope you got more than a HJ from the $700 lady. And of course price does not predict skill. There are those good and bad at what they do in all ranges of costs. My comment was more about thatmall. IMO, it's a step above Craigslist or Backpage as a reliable place to get providers. I would sooner pay more than roll the dice with a random from that site. Therefore, I don't see it as the best source in comparing rates, unless that's where a provider plans to advertise.

Not sure about the LA area but I am in the Midwest and i currently see a few masssage providers and also see regular massage therapist too. One of the ladies I see sounds similar to what you are describing. She is in her 40s, nice enhanced breasts, good body, gives a very nice deep tissue massage, topless, with light mutual touching and a really nice teasing HJ. She charges 200. I see a few other girls who are similar, but also offer non GFE FS for 300. And I would bet that most guys who would want this service do not really care if you are certified or not.
