Have known girlfriend for about 8 years now, and, since we share alot of interests, have grown close.  Well, she was to come from Arizona to California to where I am now living and help me with some personal legal matters I was clearing up over my mother's recent passing.  I had come to the conclusion I really didn't need here here, but she offered and I could have used the emotional support if nothing else.  She offered to come, and I said yes since I would have liked to visit with here anyway.
She said she had a free plane ticket here already, and to book a place for us to stay (I don't now live in the same town as Mom's house is).  I got a very nice hotel with two beds etc. because she kept saying she was coming over.  I could have saved about $70 if I got a single bed for just myself, but she kept saying she would be there so I got the two doubles.
Well, guess what?  After weeks of saying she was coming, she calls me at 11 pm the night of her supposed arrival to tell me she "missed her flight" for the 11:40 pm arrival.  Since the airport was not next door to where I was putting us up, it would have taken that time to get there or about.  
And it was obvious she had just woke up when she called, so she probably had this planned and set her clock to wake up at this time to tell me she was not coming at all.
Why all the gameplaying?
Rude and disrespectful?
Or just a weak sister with no cojones to tell the truth?
Self-involved or just a wimp who didn't really want to come?
