Gotta Laugh at the Ironic Humor... jokes on me...

I hope you can appreciate the ironic humor in my current situation.  The jokes on me!!   It's a little bit long but bear with me.
I'd see my Fav every day or at least every week if I could...  but my check only goes so far & to leave unexplained financial holes would be as dumb as leaving a road map.   So with my recreation budget as it is,  I can see her around once a month.

So Dear Daughter has been in a country in  Africa doing good work.  DD is due to come home on March 5th.  I have been anticipating the extra eyes in the house will make it more difficult for me to come & go on my own schedule.   So, the wifey reminds me that DD has thoughtfully loaned her car to her cousin in a  Northern state.   Cousin needed the car & it's better that it is driven regularly than sit around for the year rusting.
Unless I want Dear Daughter to take over MY CAR (that'll sure crimp my c*ming & going), it behooves us to get DD's car back before she arrives.   The cousin can get the car half way...  wifey & I will have to drive up to retrieve it from her.
I really don't travel well (medical reasons, same reason I'm retired), so it's really best to stay overnight.  Wifey expects that this will morph into a Romantic Jaunt (first in a couple of years) & I guess it d*mn well will.   I'll just take the money my "recreation money"...  opps!!  That I already spent with the Fav...  double opps!!    You can be sure this is going on Visa & pay it off later.

{Wifey & I keep totally separate accounts, Visa's, etc...  because of her kids, we always have.}
So there's no danger but my careful plan just blew up in my face like a cartoon cigar...  Even I can see the ironic humor in it...    Ha Ha,   I had to chuckle myself...

I thought you could use a chuckle too.
