We were guests of the owner of what was then the biggest booker of porn stars as escorts (for various reasons it would not be discreet to mention her name). I didn't go on the floor but sat in the hotel dining area with her and some of her girls, like Adriana Chechik and Jynx Maze. She took us to a private party where I remember seeing Riley Reid. But don't worry about approaching adult stars. They're there to mingle with fans. I just wouldn't try to set up a date with them there and then.
Also don't forget about AVN, which holds its annual awards show in LV on Jan. 25th next year. Tons of hot PS girls available.
... for any other business (Finance, construction, insurance, etc.), it's exactly like those:
Exhibit booths with company/brand signage, marketing media, handouts, swag, and Video demos
Conference speaker panels and demos in scheduled sessions with a panel of experts and audience seating.
Loudspeaker announcements barking whatever - but you can't ever understand the speaker.
Lots of attendees standing in line to meet booth people, celebrities and get pics/autographs
The smell of too much body sweat mixed with the smell of too much Axe Body Spray
Various members of the Press looking to get some hot "scoop" or cheesecake sound bites and generally cutting in front of the attendees.
EXCEPT:
The products on display are adult-themed, and the booth staff is generally hot-looking women dressed like collage age women at a rave or a Halloween party.
Do not ever ask an adult star on the show floor about fan meet ups, escorting, etc. You will find out what it feels like to be physically tossed out of the hotel entrance doors head-first by 4 rather large men. It's ok to ask for contact info and social media accounts.
If you want to explore meeting a porn star from the expo, do your research well before you get there. Even better, contact her through her personal email or escorting email in advance. Do not send inquiries to her Agent about escorting.
Look, there are two worlds here that live in the same space. There's the adult-entertainment world, and there's the porn star escort world. Neither acknowledges the other during shows. Yes, it's a poorly kept secret. But the show runners and industry attendees want to keep all "illegal" activities under a rock.

Sadly the glory days of AVN are in the past .. AVN in the 90s ( and there are documentaries ) was really nice, upscale and professional. you had to dress nice, major companies had large booths with hot XXX stars dressed sexy and classy with fine lingerie.
now due to the internet the large companies are gone, at best there are cam girl booths rest are small mom and pop operations .. really tacky .. large portion of show is just rows of girls giving autographs for $$$ .. usually a significant area to now BDSM you cant normally see anywhere else.
if you ask very politely and respectfully most girls wont mind asking about hooking up ..if they don't they will tell you but realize a min is typically $1,500 and often more (one girl asked requested $5K) so dont think of offering less , that they would find insulting. oh and just cause they go bare in movies .. trust me they wont with you.
i have been lucky to hook up with a couple in the past .. but retired now. Showing my age .. Danielle Rogers / Corinna Blake / Halley Hayes..... but none available anymore. and in my case all were fluke meetings. all very nice ..
sad thing is .. most of the girls wandering around AVN now are not very classy .. i think a lot of the top girls avoid it or only go to the dinner etc. so just be prepared what to expect.
