Anyone notice that most escortbook.com websites have disappeared. primarily US advertisers
They announced that they are ceasing US operations. I think they said that a few weeks ago
Wait are you Serious they're going to cease all US use? No my website has been escortbook.com for longer than I can remember more than a decade hell closer to two maybe. Now I know US websites do not offer vip featured functions. I believe when US the human trafficking Crack downs laws etc changed is when they limited US websites. What am I to do now, not only did/do escortbook.com offer free website building and host no charge but for a technology challenged person like myself they had the only site that was able to easily step by step build my website. Any suggestions? Thank you..

Not sure why you didn't know. One of my favorite ladies texted me to tell me what was happening and to expect her website to go away. I think escortbook either posted it on-site or emailed US based ladies to let them know.
I don't know much about the free aspect of website. You may want to look at Wix. They may provide services similar to escortbook. I know many ladies that use them.
Take a look at cuties-sites.com too.
I use cuties. It is easy to use, but just be aware that their customer service is shit.
Inside things but the site is closed. Oh well this is what happens when it’s free I guess. Wix might be a good alternative but all are requiring ID when escortbook did not.
It's not that it was free as I said there use to be upgraded features that stopped some few years ago in the US only. As other countries still can use paid/free services. They really are/were a great platform user friendly for someone like myself that is technology challenged to put it nicely, and their customers care was a step above many. I really could care less to pay for the services provided if that was the reason but I assure you it's not. Smh.
Maybe they don't have too much incentive, but maybe EB should come up with a service or set of instructions to make it easy to clone your site to a new website company (wix, cuties, etc.). Maybe EB can work with one or more such companies to make it easier. I.e., maybe wix or other host could offer "Let us help you copy your old EB site to your new account on our site." kind of thing.
.
Once successfully set up on a new site, EB could offer Providers a few months of redirection to the new site instead of to their own page. E.g., arielesummers.escortbook.com could redirect to arielsummers.wixsite(or whatever).com .

If you got to a particular providers web page you get re-directed to the main escortbook.com site.
Escortbook.com itself is not shutdown.
Provider links were usually personalized, as: ProviderName.escortbook.com . I assume that escortbook charged a fee (small fee? large fee?) to create / own those domain names. As holystone points out, right now, the re-direct is going to the main escortbook.com webpage.
.
I think that escortbook should allow a 3 - 6 month window for a one-time or two-time free re-direct to the affected Providers' new website.
1. Original: JaneDoe.escortbook.com
2. Jane Doe creates a new ad (tryst, sugarnights, etc.) or a new website (Wix, Cuties, etc.). Let's just call it JaneDoe.wixsite.com.
3. Jane Doe notifies escortbook and they amend JaneDoe.escortbook.com to redirect to JaneDow.wixsite.com.
.
Question: Did escortbook eliminate their US presence due to FOSTA/SESTA? Would a re-direct still expose them to FOSTA/SESTA? If the domain belonged to the Provider (Jane Doe owns JaneDoe.escortbook.com) but it is managed by EB, won't the re-direct also belong to the Provider? Management (EB) is no longer HOSTING her webpage but is just following her request to redirect it elsewhere.
.
Obviously, escortbook cannot be expected to honor redirect requests continuously for 12 months, every time a Provider changes her Eros or other touring ad. It should be reserved for a similarly permanent domain or ad.
.
EB can even help to migrate an escortbook.com website to a new website using some kind of cloning tool.

I'm told (but have not implemented it) that
Escortbooks is using IP-address filtering to exclude USA providers from registering, and that one can register a new myhandle.escortbook.com page by using a VPN to hit escortbook from a non-USA location. Once the page is set up, it should "just work". One should remember to use the same VPN exit node when editing the page, I suppose.
Have any of our ladies tried that out yet?
Will US based guys be able to see the ads w/o a VPN? Does EB deliver content to US ip addresses? Or do US ip addresses get the vanilla home page?

It's one thing to get access by VPN, which is what most of us did with TER during the 20-month US blackout, but if a provider's IP address shows she is accessing from London, but her ad is soliciting customers from somewhere in the US, and gives the US as her incall location, it will be pretty transparent that she is using VPN to place her ad. How long will Escortbook allow her to use VPN to place ads for services in the US? Likewise, if she accesses from London and advertises she is located in London, that's not going to get her any business at her US location either, because customers will think she is located in London.
Let me restate or explain my question.
- For this Q, forget about US located Providers wanting to post ads on EB.
- Assume a Euro Provider based in the EU, Natasha Fatale in Pottsylvania.
- Natasha has an EB website NatashaFatale.escortbook.com
OK, here comes the Q ...
- Can a US based searcher, using a computer with a US ip address, search for and display the Pottsylvanian NatashaFatale.escortbook.com website on his computer?
- If the same searcher uses a VPN and now appears to have a non-US ip address, will EB display sexy content on his computer?
- Will escortbook NOT DELIVER any sexy content to any US ip address?
- Will escortbook NOT DELIVER any sexy content to any destination it THINKS is a VPN or spoofed or might be in the US?

We don't know whether EB will be approving the website content after it's up - whether using a VPN or not.
If the above is true then if a lady creates a website (using a VPN) and EB admin sees that it's a US based provider they'll pull the plug on it.
I would think that EB is smart enough to know that someone would try that.
As of next month it will be five years since this very controversial law was passed. So, if they operated in US for nearly five more years, why did the decide to pull the plug just now?
And if they're based overseas why do they care?
I thought that was the point of some ladies using websites on foreign web hosts with foreign domains.
called a subpoena for business records tired to some kind of investigation. There are only limited privacy rights attached to business records.
If they're based overseas I don't think a subpoena from a US court would mean much to them.
the country of domicile has a treaty with the US that mandates mutual cooperation and reciprocity in legal processes.
It’s the money trail. If you earn a living off of it you can’t live in the US. Some found ways around it by setting up proxy companies. All this was explained years ago, but I remember the panic it created. The law hasn’t changed, there just aren’t people interested in prosecuting people for it. I think because public opinion wouldn’t support them since it’s essentially a victimless crime and the courts time and costs isn’t justifiable for the penalty in which most cases are misdemeanors and are only fines and a slap on the wrist. This is why it’s not in the news and if it is they don’t go after the ad sites. EB has there reasons but we will never know the truth.

a victimless crime unless the service is bad.
As you suggest if it’s bad service then the guy is obviously a victim. But searching the internet this is the response I get.
Prostitution is often viewed as a crime without a victim, because it is hard to see prostitutes as victims of the activity in which they decided to participate voluntarily.
If they are assaulted, robbed or even killed of course they are a victim. They can also be a victim of a guy who didn’t enjoy his time and given a very bad review here.
But ok to each his own.

my posts here are divided between informational, controversial and humorous. If you think I said something that did not make sense in the context of the discussion, like this time, it's probably just for laughs. Laugh or don't laugh (sometimes few see the humor like I do), but don't bother trying to explain yourself.
Slip has been around for a long time.. My first M&G was hosted by Slip in Columbia, MD at a Green Turtle back in 2005.
Slip is a good guy... Old timer
He used to put "lol" at the end of his so-called "jokes" to let people know he was trying to be funny. He should go back to using his "laugh track."
Odd sense of humor but I get it now thanks
