Well Kobe went off last night! scored 40 in 35 mintutes. Looks like the suns will be home soon! lol

Yeah, he had his knee drained a day or so afore the game and didn't practice for 6 days. Ah, the power of rest.

I laughed at halftime when the TNT crew was crowing about the Suns being "only" down seven after playing poorly. Seven quickly became 14, 14 became 19 and the Suns never challenged again.

Simple fact. Points in the paint will beat long range shots MOST of the time. The Suns may "go off" and shoot some ungodly percentage from 3 point land in one game and maybe two....but 4?

I like the Laker's chances.

The Lakers have way too much size in the paint for the Suns. With Odom, Gasol and Bynum (assuming he can play 20-25 mintes a night) there is really no way that the Suns can contend inside. The Lakers should control the boards virtually every game. Oh yeah, and that Kobe fellow is pretty good!

The Suns will have to somehow control the tempo, play at a fast pace, and hope they shoot extremely well. They may win a game or two, but ultimately, the physical pounding that the Suns will incur around the basket will take its toll.

I was under the impression that the Suns play at least a little bit of defense as compared to a few years ago. The over at 213 for Wednesday's game is looking pretty good.

The best play last night was the dunk that didn't happen. Anybody see Shannon Brown taking off from the free throw line and over a Sun defender, and almost threw it down? Even the miss was impressive.

Unless the Suns "Bigs" can each grow a few inches by game 2, it's not gonna be pretty.

Where defense is actually played.
