In your opening statement to the 9/11 commission today you complained incessantly about a lack of resources to follow through on counter-terrorism investigations prior to 9/11.  Can I assume then that you believe prostitution to be a far worse danger to our nation than terrorists?  During the period you say you were so lacking in resources, you had a significant number of people from several branches of the Justice Dept involved in 3 different investigations into prostitution.

If you got your women, should we all feel safer now?

That's more than you can say for a lot of the other stupid political posts that you see on here. If I want to read the crap, there are plenty of other places to find it.

Tomorrow 272 people in the US will be arrested for prostitution and by the end of the year over 79,000 individuals will account for over 102,000 prostitution arrests.  They'll be arrested for something that is legal in almost every other country in the world.  On average each of these people will shell out $4,200 in legal fees and fines, almost every one will acquire a police record, and 2 in 3 will serve at least 72 hours in jail.  Some of these people will either loose a job because of their arrest or will not be able to obtain a job because of their record.  Some will loose a spouse and family because of their arrest.

Will you be one of the 272 arrested tomorrow?  How about one of the 274 who will be arrested on Thursday or the 277 on Friday?

I apologize if this is the wrong board for my post.  I understood the politics board to be for political discussion unrelated to the hobby.  Though this is a political issue, it is more importantly an issue very directly related to what is discussed on this board.  I thought it appropriate.

but the political board is where people post baited questions, feign concern, and ask and answer their own questions to incite
flame wars.

yours post seems to be in this vein.

Yeah, it makes a difference who the Attorney General is.

All the messages time-stamped before this one were posted while it was on the National board.

One has to wonder about the logic of this effort given the creeping menance of terrorism.  It is appropriate to have a national debate about how the leaders of this country use scarce resources.
