Certainly seems that way lately, particularly alienating Hispanics & women. If your predominant demographic is uneducated, theocratic, white male Christians ( which there are 2 prominent examples on this board-----LOL )
that is a shrinking demographic & a recipe for electoral disaster.

Now, before hubris sets in, let me say a # of things in coming months could bolster chances for GOP : economy going in toilet , a scandal coming out against Obama administration, etc.

However, barring above 2 options, GOP COULD be going way of the typewriter------;)

As for my OP, I understand why you don't want to comment--------;)

I would be dead in work.  I think I have the record number of typos ever made in an appellate brief in the history of California.  It was a 27-page brief, with 56,286 typos.

I am lucky to get my name right.

A nice opinon piece, but the spread between GOP and Dem is pretty much as statistical dead heat at less that 1%.

I will just say that I do not think women are as turned off as the pundits say.

It is very inaccurate to say that Pro-life is predominately male.  There are many women who are very much removed from the abortion policies of Planned Parenthood.  Although most people (women and men) approve of abortion in cases of rape and incest, most people do not like "late term" or abortions for "convenience."

In fact, when ever abortion comes up the Dems shout "rape and incest," and avoid the abortions that represent 95% of those performed.  I think they go to the extreme to shift attention from other areas where they would not do as well.

One last thought, 3 years ago this board and the media were filled with stories of the Death of the GOP and The New Majority.  Now, I don't know if anyone wants to put too much money on the next election.

I can see it go any way.  But I see a lot of things that could de-rail Obama.  The biggest is the economy, and if I recall 2008 was triggered by the rise in gas prices.

Obama can say the president is limited, but the response with be 1,000 ads quoting him and Pelosi about Bush and the fact that the president was an oil man.

Some stuff I actually agree with.

Can't say the same though for some of your conservative brethren ( 2 in particular ) on this board. I enjoy a spirited debate with informed conservatives, but, not neanderthals-----

Some of my favorite ancestors were Neanderthals.  In fact, people who know me see the resemblance.

I will admit that some of the people on my side of the aisle are not powerhouses, although I think that both sides share that claim from pundits to posters.

forced to home school by their husbands, told to stay at at home and are pulling their hair out daily at Wal Mart trying to shop for food and control their kids.

There is something to be said about wanting to to go back to Biblical times. It was not an utopia even if you believe Jesus lived in that era.

Ponder this, if Gods only son lived among men men, why was so many atrocities were committed? Yep, you are going to give me the line, he died for all sins of human kind. If that is true, there should not be any sin left in the world so why are we raging about it?

May be nothing is sin, it all went away and without the mythical concept of sin, man made religions cannot exist and control others.
