EITHER, this race is a total blowout.... or the campaign is making a huge mistake by not spending those days in PA/MI/WI. Which do you think? IMHO, it would take some serious sabotage or malpractice from a (VERY) competent 2024 Trump campaign to make this move without absolute confidence in why it's making the move. Also, watch the Harris campaign: she's rushing around in urban areas where turnout is lagging, and shuffling around ad-buys between Milwaukee and Philadelphia.
The What If premise is that the polls are undercounting GOP support by somewhere between 4-8% or somewhere in that ballpark. If that’s the case, some blue states could be in play like Virginia, Minnesota and New Mexico.
If he goes to Virginia and New Mexico, and the needle moves a little on their internal polling, it forces Kamala to go there for damage control. Meanwhile, Trump can go back to work on the Swing states.
The border has become a big issue in New Mexico this election. I went to high school with the Republican Senate candidate there. Would love to see an upset but the Democrat incumbent has a +10 lead in the polls.
Trump wants to win the popular vote, a mandate from heaven. He combines this with going to slightly blue states where there is a slim chance of flipping. It's just trying to hit two birds with one stone, efficiency that even Musk would appreciate.
I heard it was going in to shore up Virginia. The Fox Decision Desk just reclassified Arizona from Toss Up to Lean Republican. It looks like Kamala’s chances at the Sunbelt toss ups are slipping away.
