Teamster poll, Trump +27

Teamster's polled their members and released the results.  However, before he dropped out, in July, the Teamsters poll favored Biden over Trump by 8.  Unfortunately Scranton Joe has left the building.

They said they can't endorse Kamala because majority of membership did not support her.  They also said they could not endorse Trump because his support wasn't "universal."  In other words, there was no way the officials would ever support a Republican, but to avoid a mutiny of the membership they couldn't endorse Kamala.

After the International Brotherhood of Teamsters' executive board declined to endorse either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, a series of local joint councils representing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS  of workers in key swing states endorsed Harris.

Harris has gotten the endorsement of Teamsters Joint Councils in Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, Philadelphia and Western Pennsylvania, as well as Idaho and Alaska.

"Kamala Harris worked with the Teamsters and other union workers to pass the historic Butch Lewis Act which
has saved the pensions of over a million retirees to date.  As President, Kamala Harris will build on those efforts and
work with Congress to pass the PRO Act, ending some of the most egregious
union busting tactics once and for all.  In contrast, Donald Trump tried to gut workers’
rights as President by appointing union busters to the NLRB and advocating for
national right-to-work.  Trump’s project 2025 would go even further, attacking the
ability for unions to even have the ability to organize.  This November we will work
with millions of union workers across the country to defeat Donald Trump once again,
and send Vice President Harris and Governor Walz to the White House.  We are proud
to endorse Harris-Walz for President and Vice President."
-- Bill Carroll, President of Teamsters Joint Council 39, Wisconsin

This is the first time since 1988, 36 years ago, when it was Bush/Dukakis that the Teamsters failed to endorse the Democrat candidate.  Ouch!

You're posting to yourself now..but I'll chime in.
They're not endorsing anyone...its not a bigger and I think they've donated more to Democrat Pac.

This is big news. Could play a pivotal role in key swing states.

Most teamsters are conservative and would have voted for Trump even if the union had endorsed Harris. In fact, in a poll last week of Teamsters 58% were for Trump and only 31% were for Harris.
So dream on, ChicKie
