New study out of Greece. The sample size is a bit small but I don’t think that much matters in this case. The researchers looked at Covid deaths at 7 different hospitals and found that 45% of those who were said to have died of Covid didn’t die from the virus, but of other causes. This is known as “died with Covid” not “died of Covid”. Often even the “with” is being generous, because it’s based on PCR tests with a known high false positive rate.
This happened in many countries including the USA. Government incentivized this by giving hospitals money for Covid, and so the hospitals artificially boosted the Covid numbers to pad their pocketbooks. Then government turned around and said “look at all these people dying of Covid” as a justification to lock people inside their homes.
While your very basic and simple analysis says those who died 'of covid' vs. those who died 'with covid' somehow fails to identify the FACT that patients WITH Covid now had a multitude of additional symptoms and ailments to deal with and that were thrown at random to care givers to somehow diagnose, treat and overcome, in real time. This is/was simply an impossible task.
Further - because hospitals were overwhelmed and over saturated with patients - they could not support the number of patients coming in for care. Remember the long lines and overflowing ER rooms of people dying of MANY different things - NOT JUST COVID - but because the entire system was over saturated?
