OMG---Sajak is a 1 sided idiot when it comes to
politics, who has "delusions of adequacy". The former weathercaster/failed talk show host/quiz show emcee, should stick to calling out letters
& trying to cop a feel from Vanna, rather than voicing his moronic, self-aggrandizing pronouncements.

I never look at  TV game show personalities or Hollywood actors as a place to find political facts anymore than the cemetary.I give none of them credibility. After all is said and done,many of them spend their lives playing someone they are not.Identity confusion is their way of life.

If you can't see Ogerman's hate mongering and  race baiting for what it is,you must have enjoyed Alice in Wonderland much more than me.

Why did you exclude Limbaugh/Beck/Hannity from those adjectives, Quad?  Olbermann has his "shtick", because those "right-wing 3 Stooges" ( particualrly Limbaugh ) have been poisoning the airwaves LONG before Olbermann arrived on the scene. KO is an "assertive progressive" who said liberals arent' gonna take shit anymore & struck back. Good for him. I certainly have my reservations about him ( particularly his defending the ground 0 Mosque ), but, as a left of center political independent, he strikes a chord with me & I enjoy his MSNBC show a great deal.

Btw, Quad, I am STRONGLY against re-imposing "fairness doctrine", which would essetially ban Limbaugh/Olbermann type commentators off the air. VEHEMENTLY against censoring those of the left & right. You agree, Quad ?

I don't know of Beck or Hannity's racism.I haven't been able to stand listening to either one of them the last couple years.
I'm not into doom and gloom preachers.
I occasionally listened to Beck on the radio a few years ago before he went off the deep end.From a ninth  grader POV,and what little I've seen of them ,Beck has become  a delusional idiot, and Hannity is no more than a fast talking, arrogant parrot.
IMO Rush is more intelligent than Ogerman, Beck and all the  talking heads combined.I used to listen to Rush for amusement, and information not available from the media ,but I gonged him for good when he repetively played the Magic Negro song.Once was one time too many IMO.  I thought that was completely out of line,and digustingly racist.
When you say "we" are all racists behind closed doors, you must be  French, or talking about yourself, and "Your" group of friends.
I despise racism and race baiters with a passion.
IMO the difference in race is tan, evironmental impact over thousands of years, and nothing more.
I believe in freedom of speech.As long as radios and TVs have the option to change the channel,I am against censoring puppet masters  views. Idiots should be free to listen to Ogerman or Beck or any other blowhard,to their hearts content.

Let me give you a scenario, and you tell me who is the real racist?

A white guy, in a room filled with his black and latino friends tells an off color "nigger joke" to which all of his friends (of all colors) laugh at, but there is one other white guy in the room who just sits there looking uncomfortable because he is not used to being in a room full of "people of color", and can't believe the guy actually used the "N" word in a room full of black people

Now who is the real racist? The guys with a roomful of friends of a different race? or the guy who in the interest of political correctness, gets offended by a word that everyone else in the romm uses freely?

BTW, I was guy number one recently, I interjected the term "white guy" to make a point, even though I am not technically "white", but I am certainly not of African descent. It took a while, but we finally got the "white guy" to loosen up and realize no one was going to kill him. lol

I'm not sure how true that is or not as I can't see behind the closed doors of others.

All I'll dispute for now is the usefulness of the term "racist" because it is, IMHO, too expansive.

The term catches within its net the Jewish father who doesn't want his daughter marrying a gentile as well as the Klansman with a noose strung over a tree awaiting a black man who dared turn his eyes upon a white woman. The term catches someone who tells an off-color joke in the same net as the guy who is stockpiling Zyklon in his basement awaiting a chance to put gas chambers into operation.

Frankly, the term has become the modern equivalent of "heretic" and I usually ignore it and am further pretty hesitant to apply it due to its overuse.

Furthermore, I believe the term "racist" is predicated upon the existence of race as a biological reality as opposed to social construct. If race does not exist as a biological reality, than neither can racism. If it does exist as a biological reality, then perhaps racism can as well. But even then, IMHO, the definition is too expansive -- so much so as to have a chilling effect on free speech that prevents solving problems and dooms far too many to undeserved negative fates.
