he was too rough around the edge's for the ultra conservatives.  I think it was brave of the Dixie Chicks to return to the CMA's after being demonized by country radio which ruined their career when they were at the top!  That's how much power media has over people's minds!!  who the fuck are these hateful, ultra conservative people raising their children to smash CD's.  Shania Twain took country to a cross over.  Yeah, she was demonized too, and told that she better cover her body.  And in rebellion, stripped to an overcoat on stage to show off her fabulous body.  Ultra conservatives are very afraid of change, and need order to feel safe in a world that is unpredictable.  My final thoughts is that I think it showed UNITY, that diversity is brought together for the love of music.
