Has anyone seen the HBO documentary "Outraged"?

From HBO's schedule guide...

"They fight against same-sex marriage, AIDS research and adoption by gay parents. But are they fighting themselves? This eye-opening film explores the disturbing phenomenon of allegedly closeted gay politicians who vote down pro-gay legislation--and get a free pass from the media. Probing the hidden lives of some of the country's most powerful policymakers, the film examines how these politicians may have betrayed the confidence of American voters by denying the truth about themselves...and how the media has been complicit in keeping these secrets."

Interesting film...

This film is not supported in LBGT community, but I don't agree with that sentiment. In most cases, I don't support "outing" someone who is lesbian or gay. However, the film specifically targets politicians who openly oppose pro-gay legislation. I have zero sympathy for politicians who speak out of both sides of their mouth. These men are hypocrites and deserve the consequences of being outed.

The film isn't about outing, it's about the hipocracy of people who could make a real difference and choose not to.

I often wonder if people who "gay bash" are actually fighting repressed homosexual tendencies.  A case and point is John Wayne Gacy.  He stated during an interview that he attacked two inmates in prison who were having sex because it repulsed him.  Yet he sexually assaulted and murdered young men.  When asked by the interviewer, Gacy said strongly that he was not a homosexual; he was bi-sexual.

It's my observation that most straight people even the ultra religious types don't put a lot of thought into gay people. For most of us, even those like me who are personally repulsed by man on man sex, don't spend all day thinking about it.

OTOH some people obsess over gays, call them unnatural and want to legislate them off the planet. It's my opinion that anyone who puts that much energy into hating gays can only be experiencing a form of self loathing.

Except for the flaming queens like Richard Simmons that are just plain annoying, my only real thoughts about gay men is "more pussy for the rest of us" lol

Lesbian sex of course is another story, by I don't want to get in an argument with Sins about how unfair it is. Of course it's unfair, but it si what it is. rofl

I pretty much agree with you on this one Gambler. I wish there were more gay guys out there. More pussy for the rest of us.

You know I would be very interested to hear what you have to say about lesbian sex...good or bad. What is so unfair about it?

What I meant by my reference to Sins, is that she thinks that all gays, lesbians, bisexuals and Transexuals should be treated equally.

I don't even treat them equally myself, I certainly don't think the world does. Is that unfair? Of course it is, but that's the way things are. That's what I meant by unfair.

Do you still love me?
