Many of the establishment Republicans in DC are looking for government jobs. If Trump wins, they are going to be shut out for the next four years. He knows who the back stabbers are now. Their only hope for employment is either supplicate to Harris (not going to work) or wait until 2028 for another shot. If Trump gets elected, all the Republican jobs will have been filled by the new breed of Republican and those out of work holdovers from 2016-2020 will be displaced by time and experience. This is their last gasp.
