I will most probably accept the SP's offer to shower before the session starts.  So a few questions on that.

I know I should lather up and get squeaky clean, but should I also wash my hair and shampoo?  Are new soap and shampoo provided or do I need to bring my own?  Since I will be going there in my work clothes, do I dress back up before the session or do I come out in my undergarments?  If the latter, where am I expected to keep my shirt/slacks?  Are boxers necessary or is underwear fine (that's all I have)?

Well, this really is a YMMV situation, where some providers will have different requirements than others.

Hair: Probably don't need to bother...depends on what you were doing before the appointment.  If you were coming from the gym, then you should.

Soap/shampoo: Probably provided but you may want to bring your own.  A SO may notice that you smell different because of the different soap/shampoo.

Btw, providers: pick up a bar of something generic like Dial.  While it's lovely smelling something flowery on you, it's a red flag on him.

Dress back up: Don't bother.  Just go in at whatever level of undress you'd like.  One way to reduce the awkwardness of this is to ask her to 'wash your back'.  You'll have some fun in the shower, and you'll both already be naked.

Where to put clothes: I drape them over a chair, or something similar.

Boxers vs. undies: She's seen everything from silk boxers to nearly-shredded tighty-whities.  You don't need to worry about what you're wearing.

I agree with foo on everything EXCEPT, most providers have zero interest in doing anything in the shower, it messes up our hair and makeup.

I suggest that you just come out with the towel around your waist.  Leave your clothes in the bathroom.

Most has been covered . . . but for the LOVE OF GOD, do not wear "shredded tightie whities"!  Even if you are fresh from the shower, if you wear icky, holey, stained underpants, most would assume you're usually not taking care of yourself and could be almost as difficult as if you were actually dirty at that moment.

Wear your best pair of underwear regardless of the type.  If all of your undies are holey or stained, treat yourself to some new ones.

I strip down to my shorts, then head for the shower.  Since I always take a shower at the end of the session, I leave my shorts in the bathroom.  I just come out with a towel wrapped around my waist, or buck naked!  Either way, it lets the lady know it's time for action!

As an update, the particular provider I visited asked me to bring my clothes into the room were in.  The bathrooms at the incall were shared by clients seeing different providers.

I have a special travel bag that I lay my clothes in to keep the incall smell out of my clothes. I bring my own soap, shampoo, towel, washcloth, floss, tooth brush, and mouthwash. I make sure that I use the same soap I have at home. I take a shower before the session starts and after the session ends.

To get rid of the new shower smell I might roll up the windows and turn the heat on the car to sweet a bit before I go home to the SO. Sometimes i will put my workout clothes on to pretend that I came from the GYM.
