Okay well obviously that's why I'm in the newbie section since I'm new to posting on the TER boards. I don't know what your problem is with me honestly you just sound like drama and I'm not responding to you again after this. I was simply showing empathy / expressing my experience with the OP.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm being gullible or not. Being new to this I went to slixa in search of a "friend" and reached out to two providers. In my research I had read about rude and entitled guys so I decided to try and stick out by being polite and thoughtful. One provider asked for a deposit which I made....and they stopped responding. The other one didn't ask for a deposit but did text me for times and availability and we had trouble finding a time. For each one...to make up for my lack of choosing an exact time (due to my busy schedule) I even went to their "gift page" and got each a gift. One of them even tweeted the gift and now I feel like an idiot because they've both gone silent. I thought I was being smooth and considerate but now I feel like an idiot. I joined this site to avoid the bad experience I'm having on that site. I welcome any feedback.

Sorry to hear that you got royally ripped off, but that's what this life is like unless you arm yourself with knowledge, and by that, I mean reading reviews.

Be sure you get VIP membership to TER and then stick to well reviewed gals.   Also read the self-help manual linked on this sections home page to learn more about the ins and outs of this hobby life.

After that, feel free to post questions on here.

Welcome.

Thanks! I've gone through the section...now I think it's a matter of  getting a reference so I get a reply. Appreciate the insight. I've signed up for VIP as well so maybe that will help

It's an ad and screening site you need to join and pay for. But the providers there are generally well reviewed and the site polices the girls so they get penalized if they don't respond or rip you off. Most of them have links to TER reviews.

I'd second both sets of advice -- TER reviews with VIP and P411.

I would add two additional points for consideration. First (maybe it's only half a point since it's also related to P411) going to sites like Slixa is kind of like diving into the deep end of the pool to learn to swim.  Most people do better only if they already have some good experience so have some intuition about the ads they read and if it's more a setup or actually a legitimate provider behind the ad. P411 helps take that problem away, as does the use of TER. P411 will also have providers who are Newbie friendly -- meaning they will work with you knowing you will not have other references. As P411 does some level of screening this can result in some being less intrusive of what is requested for the screening -- though that doesn't seem to be a big problem for you. (Think carefully there and only share personal information carefully. There is a very clear risk there.)

The other thing to consider is Agency over independents. Sometimes it is easier to find a workable schedule with an agency as they will have multiple ladies you can see not just the one person. Of course they might not have who you want to see. But trying to find the agencies (if any) that service your area might be worth looking into. Again TER might be helpful here as you can post to you local board or even start finding out who on TER is in your area and send PM to see about getting some info.

As a provider, I second that p411 is great on both sides because of the screening. You shouldn't have any issues with women from that site.

Also I'm so sorry this happened to you! I've gotten gifts from admirers before we even met and that makes me so happy I want to see them more. In fact I got 2 gifts recently from admirers who are far but I'm willing to travel to meet them because their gifts beforehand show me that they appreciate my time :)

I hope you find yourself great providers in the new year! 😘

You don't need a reference. Just be yourself. Any provider worth their salt will know they are dealing with a serious client. If not, then don't see them. It will be a bad experience.

that's just awful. I hear about client's not so good experiences and it's saddening. although bad experiences happen to the both of us ( providers and clients ) I've had to learn to work with the men who come to see me to show them that not all providers will rip you off and some of us take our work very seriously. when I first started out escorting I got reviewed on TER and hadn't had a clue about this business. ten years later and I'm still learning but I always do my best to leave my client happy. If anything it has been me who has been burned by bad clients before.

I hope you find you some providers worthwhile and make good experiences together. best of luck.

Don't know if TER agrees or not but your post here looks more like an ad than anything else. Particularly since you included the URL to you ad site.

It gives me the option to link a website and a photo and I was simply replying to the original post. Not my intention to look like an ad. TER approved it so .. uh yeah. I link 🔗 my website to every one of my posts. I've read the TER guidelines. But thanks for calling me out I guess? That was me being empathetic and your comment just sounds kind of rude for no reason tbh. But just for you I won't link my website or add a pretty picture.

I think the rule is that Providers can include their link on REPLIES but canNOT include their link when they began a new topic = "original post" (OP) in a thread.
.
Then, I think that Providers can only include personal pics on Photo Only and local Ad Board posts. Personal pics should not be included when replying to a topic of general interest.
.
I think that sunshinelovely's post was OK -- NOT a thre-ad -- on both counts. (a) her post was a REPLY, not an OP and (b) the image posted was just some hearts on a sepia background, not a photo of herself.

Just to be clear, it was not the picture or even the link to your website. That you had one sentence expressing sympathy and the rest of your post was really about you, not the OP, is what made your post come across as an ad to me.

The newbie board should be about giving useful information and helping new people -- clients and providers -- learn the ropes and avoid making the mistakes that thousands of others have already made. If your post had simply stopped after the first sentence or included something useful for the OP in avoiding future problems I would not have cared if you had your website linked or not.

Hi Sunshine. I thought your response to the original poster was very nice. Interpreting someone's intent from reading a post is always subjective, but I felt like your empathy definitely came through. It's good to hear about this hobby from the provider's perspective and since the OP felt foolish because he sent gifts to providers who didn't respond, hopefully your post showed that some providers really do appreciate such things.
