I use Backpage a lot and than check out the ones I think I might want to see on TER.
I am new t the escort thing and wanted to know good sites to find providers. I wanted to know what are the more reliable sites to find escorts. I know it requires research on my part but i would also like to know good researching tips. I feel like the sites I find by just googling are not reliable, I also have a few things that kind of make me suspicious.
1) professional photos- I don't know why but when I see ads with professional photos, I don't know whether or not to trust them, I feel like it's "to good to be true" so I have been avoiding ads with professional quality pics, but I do want to ask if it is common practice for providers to take professional pics?
2) Dates- When I don't see things like a "date posted" or "last login" I avoid it because I have no idea when that was posted.
3) links to dating sites- I have seen ads where thye give you a link to a site where they have reviews, but the link takes you to a paysite like "sexsearch.com" or adultfriendfinder" or some other thing you have to join to see. I don't trust those either
Sometimes I see the same woman posted on multiple sites, is that a good sign for legitamcy?
I want to know where the veterans go, and what sites they trust the most. I would agree if you said I was to paranoid, but for something like this I would rather be safe than sorry.

I always start with TER. There are too many fakes, bait and switch, and other probs on the escort malls.
Here's how to do it:
become a VIP member if you are not already
go to reviews /search reviews
fill out the form with your location and preferences
then you will see a list of providers in your area who matched your preferences and links to their websites or ad sites.
Looking for escorts in escort malls or ad sites is doing it backwards and a huge waste of time
1. In cases where the provider's profile page says that the photos are legit, I've generally found that to be true.
2. The TER profile page will tell you how recent her last review is, which, if within several months, is a good indication that she is active.
3. Several of the providers I see have multiple ads on places like EROS (the most dominant) as well as USA Adult Directory and Cityvibe, to name a few. Just steer clear of Craig's List and you'll do fine.
Also look on the regional board here on TER. It's just under the "Top 10 posters" on this page. Click on the choose one: and find the area of the country that you are closest to (like mine is the CAROLINA's) and you will see ladies that are visiting or currently advertising in your area. They are allowed to post every 7 days.

Often, I will start by looking at Eros ads. It is kind of nice for me to see the photo immediately so I can narrow my list of provider candidates to those that catch my eye. Then I use the TER search plug-in (go to the TER home page, scroll down towards the bottom middle, see the description for "Search on TER Plug-in", follow link).
NOTE! Only do this if you can control access to your computer. This plug-in is a background ap that is right-click available to everyone that uses your computer.
I almost always only use the last 7 digits of the phone number as the search criteria (read the plug-in description). After using the plug-in, if the provider has reviews, I look through those. If she doesn't, 99% of the time I simply move on to the next ad that interests me.
As far as your question regarding photos, I do tend to trust the non-pro photos more. Although, there are some very well-reviewed providers that happen to have killer professional photos. As someone else said, if her TER profile says her photos are accurate, that is often reliable. One caveat, if the provider has been in business for a number of years, her photos might have been accurate when her profile was first established. If they have not been updated for a long time, this fact may not show up in the profile. Those details are somewhat difficult to update at times.
Regarding the pay-for-dating sites, don't use them. TER is the best resource I have found. It is not 100% perfect (what really is?), but with some research (read the newbie manual), some planning, and a willingness to listen to the advice of some of the people here, you will do fine.

Read reviews of providers you are interested in.
Don't TOFTT (take one for the team) on an unreviewed provider until you have some experience in this world.

regarding professional photos... you will see this debated a hundred times over. If you look at her profile on TER it says whether the photos are accurate. You can also tell from the reviews here or on any board. Just because a shot is professional, doesn't mean it's over-touched. Some are part time providers but many of us are professionals, do this for a living, and it makes sense that we would put some money into marketing by getting professional shots. Especially those of us that tour. Phone shots and the like are not what brings in most clients and not the discerning clients for sure.
Believe me, if someone is obviously different from her pics - it will be written several times in the reviews. Most of my reviews say I look better than the picture or like the girl in the picture. There may be one or two out of a hundred plus where they said I looked a little different and that is normal for someone who's legit.
