How do responsible providers keep records of clients (upcoming schedule, for future references) that LE cannot obtain? I assume there are a variety of ways depending on the technological savey of the provider and her business reliability. When I get a spasm of security paranoia I wonder if I should ask providers to "delete" me if I don't intend to use her for a reference. I am thinking Charlie Sheen, etc...
A provider who had records that anyone else could obtain would not be very responsible, she stands to lose alot more than you. I think records they maintain the most are of people they never want to see, not a good list to be on. Asking a provider to "delete" you is kinda like going to the bank or credit card co. and asking them to delete you. I ask providers to simply remember me by my nickname and they do.
I was wondering how to do this. I have contacted other providers for referencess and they typically ask for a client's name, email address or cell number, but I'd rather not keep that info. A nickname is such a great idea. Now I only have 9,999 things to learn lol. Warmly, Joey
I usually try to put in a mention of something she'd remember, which is almost always something conversational. I gave one lady advice about coming to the National Aquarium here in Baltimore inexpensively, and she remembers me, certainly. There's also one lady that I had to reschedule with because I locked my keys in my car -- she got a big laugh out of it (OK, so did I -- it *was* funny, in retrospect at least), and she remembers me too.
Just in case, I do try to give a lady a hint about when we might have met each other, and since I mostly set up dates by email, I can go back and figure out when I saw her. It does mean that I need to use a web-based calendar to keep incriminating info off my hard drive, but I'm way too low-profile for that to ever matter.
