....did the Ojo Caliente last time...which was heaven and wanting to get down there for some natural springs...

Recommendations? Anyone that has hiked Jimenez (sp?) and amount of time?   did The Shed for dining last time...good but looking something a bit upscale and unique near the Plaza this time...

For hot springs have you done San Antonio in the Jemez? It is a bit of a hike in. Spence Hot Springs easier to get to, but not as hot and not as scenic.

For food if you want upscale you should do Geronimo. I'm always fond of Cafe Pasqual. For something different Jambo Cafe is African, not upscale but great food.

I'm making a 2nd round of Ojo and hitting jemez...but hitting others as i go! thank you for the recommendations! :)

The perfect counterpoint to Ojo is the Ten Thousand Waves spa, just about 4 miles up the ski hill road from Santa Fe. It's a spa, not a hot springs, but very quick to reach, and book the  "New Wave" spa at night! Waves books up, so book well in advance (and they're old school, you can only book the spa over the phone!). The Izanami restaurant at Waves is one of the most underrated in town, I think.

Pasquals and Geronimo are great restaurant recommendations, and Jambo is great too, different, but very good. I can add Sushiland East, a great small intimate sushi place near the plaza, and Radish and Rye (get the roasted bone marrow appetizer!). Also, Sazon is worth a visit for the flights of Mezcal and the Sopa de Amor.

Glad to see you're a repeat visitor :).
