However, rumors started about Abe during his own time.  They intensified during his Presidency.

He was a widely despised man in some circles. Even in the North where he was considered a despost because he suspended habeas corpus and threw editors and politicians in jail for protesting his war time decisions.
He came close to throwing Roger Taney(Chief Justice of the Supreme Court) in jail for disagreeing with him on some of these arrests.

Lincoln was reported to have a high pitched speaking voice. He also had only two young male secretaries who worked with him constantly in the White house during the war years.

However, this is rather thin evidence upon which to make the leap to homosexuality.  But it doesn't stop many from trying.
I'd like to know what evidence this special came up with.

Perhaps something from his youth?
