Has anyone noticed the multiple top ranked providers making there first visit to mpls ?  If you have enough business at home why leave ? I am just speculating here but I think business is slow nationwide. Now nobody wants a quality successful business to go away.  I/we need to do more and often

...very rarely for work. Maybe these ladies travel for the fun and adventure of it and also have the good fortune to be able to work a little to pay their expenses. I've heard from some ladies that they make their big money when they tour. Who knows?

That's where they want to spend their $$$.

Shopping at the Mall of America may have been a good answer in the old days (i.e., before the Internet provided great shopping experiences).

A couple of visiting providers that I have met in recent times were not too impressed with the Mall of America.

For example, if a provider were visiting from her home-base of Miami, wouldn't it be better to purchase items from the Aventura Mall (Aventura, Florida) rather than lugging goods purchased at the Mall of America through one or more airports in the United States.

Shopping for professional providers is focused on providing amenities (e.g., reproductive protection, guest refreshments) for their chosen in-call locations. Thus, a near-by pharmacy is far better for her immediate business needs than another pair of designer shoes.

I always question the practicality of providers wearing high-heeled shoes when meeting a client at the lady's in-call location.

I believe I have seen at least one pair go-down (i.e., the high-heel broke). Also, I know that I have stepped on more than one pair resting on the hotel floor.

In any case, women and their love of shoes is well-known.

Shoes can be a cool gift for a provider (if she has a wish list detailing her choices).

Story:  I gave a couple of pairs of shoes to a provider visiting the Minneapolis area from Missouri. The gifts were not a surprise. The gift had already been discussed prior to her visit. The provider lived with her sister (who was aware of her participation in the hobby). Her sister questioned the provider's decision to drive many hours to Minneapolis to visit clients. The provider justified her visit by stating:  "At least I am getting a new pair of shoes." I later received a snapshot of the provider modeling one of the pairs of shoes at home. Pretty cool!

Science:  According to Daniel Amen, MD, author of "The Brain in Love," our minds are structured in a way that may associate feet with sex. "The area of the brain that communicates with the genitals is right next to the area that deals with the feet. These regions share neural cross-talk, which may be why shoes can be erotic."

Maybe they want to experience our cold, our snow, and the "polar vortex"!
I spoke with some people out in California who had no idea what that is...
I'd agree about business being slow and this is a relatively easy place to make some income on the side, especially compared with Chicago.

Don't you get tired of having the same Colorado SmokeyJoe all the time. Isn't it more fun to have some Midwest Bratwurst for a change. Don't you get tired of slurping the same clam chowder for 25 some yrs. Why are you in this hobby then? Variety is fun and sometimes it spices things up. ;-)

Minneapolis is enroute to the men and the money from the oil fields of North Dakota. That's why we are seeing so many talented providers from around the country coming through Minneapolis.

One of the unintended consequences of fracking is that we MN hobbyist have even more beautiful ladies to choose from.

For argument sake lets say I have a business that pays me $500 an hour for a 40 hrs week, more hrs if I want. With an established permanent over head.  So now Im going to incur significant increase in overhead and non-revenue generating man hrs just for variety or shopping. I don't think so.  Now the ND oil thing might be a reason to choose MN but if we all could make our livings not leaving home we would. Leaving and incurring additional expense is something a good business person wouldn't do unless they needed to. Who ever said this besides bush  " We need to decrease revenue, increase capital expenditures and put it all on our credit card " Now going on vacation (not MN at -30) and trying to get the vacation to pay and use it as a tax write off that is something for FL,AZ,HW,CO etc. I would really like to here from the woman on this.

For example, I'm visiting right now.  I could probably make as much money in my home city, but maybe I'll make more visiting here (and North Dakota) or maybe I will even make less because of the add expense of traveling.  However, traveling is an adventure to me.  If after all is said and done, I make the same amount on tour as I would have staying at home, I am okay with that.  My travel expenses are included in what I budget as "business expenses" and I enjoy the change of scenery.

Now, am I slightly kicking myself for choosing to go somewhere cold when it is finally warming up in NYC?  Yes, of course.  But I visited Minneapolis this past summer and wanted to return as soon as I could, but then it was winter before I knew it.  It may still be cold here, but it's not nearly as bad as it was in December/January/February, so for those of us who have been itching to visit, it's a pretty ideal time even though it is still cold.  Fingers crossed that there aren't any blizzards while I'm up here though!

The ND oil theory probably has some validity.  It is definitely part of my reason for being here, but Minneapolis is it's own reason in and of itself.  This is a lovely town with great food (for a vegetarian like me especially!) and I've always had nice visits.  The guys in North Dakota really don't pre-book so I like to visit a town like Minneapolis before and/or afterward for my peace of mind.  It is hard to invest thousands of dollars in a tour and leave for tour with nothing solid in your schedule.  I appreciate the Minneapolis guys for being willing to reserve in advance so that I know I won't run out of funds partway through my adventure.  But this must not be the case for all or even most of the ladies as I do not see anywhere near as many advertising correlating visits for North Dakota.

Yes this is a business for me but also an adventure!  It's great to have an adventurous life that also supports me and allows me to invest in my future.  Some ladies have kids, a corporate job, etc., but my life is more centered around new experiences, seeing the world, investing freely in my passions, etc.

Sometimes what people see as patterns are just random chance that will even out in time.
