The shimp sauce at Benihana in Golden Valley is not a Benihana sauce. It is a sauce from a place that was called Samurai which was in the Golden Valley location before Benihana. Benihana purchased Samurai and got tired of everyone asking for the shrimp sauce so they purchased the recipe from the former owners. So the Golden Valley location is the only Benihana anywhere to have the sauce. But with a little pressure mabe Mapple Grove will buy it from Golden Valley. The End

Anyone been to the new Benihana in Maple Grove? They don't even have the shrimp sauce that the one on Golden Valley has!! IT'S AN ABOMINATION! The service is usually pretty good, and of course the chefs are entertaining to watch, but the whole time I couldn't help thinking...THIS needs that shrimp sauce. :(
Ok, enough of my rant. The moral of the story is, Benihana is not the same without the Shrimp sauce. :) Thanks for wasting 15 seconds reading this :)

In the old days of the Samurai, I knew a chef or two so I was able to walk out with a container or two. I still don’t think that the sauce tastes as good then it did years ago.

Shrimp sauce or an orgasm…which is better LOL

most are just butter-faces... However, the shrimp-sauce is excellent, I pour mine in the rice...

Surf-n-turf with the filet and an order of extra shrimp-appetizers, mmmm, it's better and cheaper than a CBJ!

Truly, why?

Shawna, the shrimp sauce at Long John Silver's inn't SO bad, but you have to stop and nab some on your way to the restaurant. And the packets ... ewww.

But seriously, if you get another culinary bug up ... up ... well, have you have any insights on Middle Eastern restaurants, or those of other flavors?

Could be a fun topic. Why not?
