Much nicer (and much more expensive) than most of the other clubs.....

It has always struck me as TJ's version of Studio 54, including tipping the doormen to get in.

It will be interesting to see if a night on the town at Tangaloo ends up costing you more or less than an appointment with a TJ escort would have cost.

Of course, if you don't want to spend a lot of money, you could go to one of the clubs in Plaza Zapato or even Las Pulgas (five different dance music rooms).

Participating in this hobby and having a non-provider novia at the same time could be a little hazardous to your health if your novia has a temper......just make sure you don't slip up and say where you heard about Tangaloo.....lol!

Baby Rock - Zona Rio - Upscale - trendy rubia Mexicanas frequent here

Plaza Fiesta - Zona Rio - Mid-Upscale -over 6 big bars in this plaza not much room for dancing but lots of musica from Rock in espanol to American rock to pop. Get here early on the weekends

Senor frogs / Zool / Rodeo Santa fe

All upscale in the Pueblo Amigo plaza -  Frogs was the place to be a long time ago but now is just a hangout before the real clubbing begins.
Zool very nice building structure Egyptian type that plays fast paced techno house. music
RSF - Norteno / Banda disco complete with real rodeo inside. Don't come here if you are a newbie gringo. Hard-core Mexican hangout complete with cowboy gear and hot chikas

Kumbala - Agua Caliente  - Very upscale danceclub - in the cheaper nights 20 dollars will get you in to this high scale dance club. Everything from house music , techno , rock en espanol

Las Pulgas - My favorite hangout. between 3 to 5 bucks will get you in here on the weekends. I have picked up many hot chicas from here. 5  different rooms when the whole club is open. Different rooms have different music. Probably the biggest dance floor in TJ when they are all combined. Norteno, banda, pop, hip hop, cumbia, merengue and more is played in this club. They have the biggest Corona account in Baja California

Cats - Zona Rio - Upscale dance club 20 dollars gets you in to this nice dance club that plays a lot of Mexican pop music and more

There are other clubs here but they are so-so.

I occasionally go to dance clubs but since I'm older I usually go with a date to dance.  I do like dancing.  I'm not going to be able to pick up the hotties that I can in the zona.  Of course there are non-pros in the regular bars.

I don't know how old you are but if you are young and have game, Balak by the border near Señor Frogs is the new hot spot.  A young Mexican friend of mine said it has replaced Tangaloo (near the racetrack) as the hottest club in TJ.  Keep in mind these clubs are pricier but they have younger hotter women.  Probably more educated as well.

I tend to like to dance at Las Pulgas and bring a date because they have different rooms with different types of music.  But keep in mind that the chicas in places like Las Pulgas and Ochoas are not that attractive overall.  Sometimes it's hard to find a lot of hotties at these places if you're looking to pick-up.  It also depends on what you consider hot.  Guys have different tastes or like bigger women.  

I like thinner chicas and there aren't as many of these types in Pulgas and Ochoas, unless they are extremely young. I prefer chicas 25-35 for the most part.  In Pulgas and Ochoas most in this age range are way too big.
