Due to a death in the family of our gracious hostess, the Wed. January 10, M&G has been cancelled. When the new evites are sent out for the rescheduled date, I will post it on this board.
I apologize if I'm asking for too much info on this forum...but would someone please clue me in as to what to expect at a typical M&G? I'm not a complete newbie but am far from the most experienced lad in the game and have wanted to explore a M&G for quite some time. Unfortunately, my SO and other constraints make them difficult to attend so I was hoping to get a better idea of what to expect before working out arrangements.
I believe I read in a post (Anneke's?) quite awhile ago that the ladies don't truly 'work' at these events. If so, are these parties simply an opportunity to have fun, meet others - and perhaps agree to meet again at a later date?...or are they yet even more hospitable than that? Is it a good idea to bring 300-400 roses for the evening in case a connection is made with any of the ladies? And how long do these events typically last?
Again, I apologize if I'm asking too many questions but would hate to show up 'under-prepared' and not be able to enjoy myself to the fullest...or possibly worse yet, show up 'over-prepared' and offend someone with over-inflated expectations.
If someone could fill me in, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you so much!

Anneke, who happens to be my wife, yes just ask her about it, is correct. It is mainly an opportuniity for providers and hobbyists to meet. It is also an opportunity to meet some of your fellow posters and trade stories of your adventures. It is mainly a fun social gathering, however, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that you may be able to present some lovely lady with those roses you might bring. Our Chicago parties generally last from 7PM to midnight. Sometimes a hardcore group of revelers will go out for a bite to eat and hang out till around 3AM.
