any tips on avoiding the LE?

Does anyone have any tips on avoiding LE?  There must be some experiences negative out there, but we never hear about these on this board.  Surely, someone must have something to share, even if it is "hypothetical" (wink, wink).

Many providers have extnesive "screening" criteria.  Why isn't this a sign of possible LE situation?  ID and bsns cards only ID you (this does not tell us anything about the provider).  But this can get the "hobbyiest" into deep soup?

Yes, IDs can get the hobbiest into "deep soup" because the provider knows who you are, and there are very rare cases of providers blackmailing clients.

But there's 2 reasons for screening.  Only the first one is LE, and it's not all that effective.  If LE wants to set up a particular provider, it's not that difficult for them to get fake IDs, set up a fake business, etc to make a cop pass a provider's screening.

Now the main reaon for screening the the provider's safety.  There are plenty of not-quite-sane people out there who'd like to harm providers.  Finding out who exactly the hobbyist is provides them some degree of protection, because they know who to go after should they get hurt (and usually have told someone else where to get that information in case they don't come back from the appointment.)  Of course, the not-quite-sane individual could create a fake identity too, but it's harder for an individual than for LE.  And since they are not-quite-sane, there's a good chance they won't bother.

An LE setup doesn't need to screen.  They've got lots of people with guns in the next room, and they'll get your real identity after they've arrested you.

To avoid the dreaded LE, do not use streetwalkers.  This is by far and away the means that most hobbyests get popped.

You have a better chance of getting hit on the head with lightning than getting arrested if you use phone or internet in/outcall girls.  The cops refuse to send a coppette into a strange room alone with a man.  Too dangerous, as the man just might want to bop the cop and she might not be able to fight him off.  If the cops set up a place for incall, it is expensive, time consuming, produces few busts, useses a lot of police time and when all is said & done, the perps arrested can only be charged with misdemeanors.  Plus the perps frequently have enought money to scream for a lawyer and howl about entrapmentm, which is a pain in the ass for the cops.

If you want to be absolutely safe, never discuss money and sex acts before both of you are naked.  Even better, don't pay her until the deed is done.  No coppette will screw you for a prostitution bust when she can't even keep the money.

In San Diego, LE set up a "sting" operation with a girl advertising on the SD-Exotics and arrested ~70 hobbyists. This was all reported on the local news stations.

This is not the first time this LE operation has been used, and surely won't be the last.

Did anyone ever figure out what girl on SD-Exotics it was?

It was a very strange ad (can't remember her name offhand), which implied that you could get bare-back, full-service. Didn't actually come out and say it, but the inference was very clear.

I got the impression that the LE who drafted the ad copy must have used the following logic: Anyone collared would deserve it, because he was asking for illegal, dangerous sex acts.

It ran for a number of months, and I think it was taken down only when the busts were publicized.

I think this goes to tell you that (1) only goe with providers or agencies that have been reviewed and (2) avoid providers with explicit ads.  Only cops (and dumb providers) would advertise in such an explicit manner.
