Where is a really good Mexican restaurant off the strip ? Kind of in the Northwest area.  Just a local joint where the food is great.

Not NW but I recommend Linda Michoacán located at 2655 E Desert Inn Road. Tasty and authentic Mexican, live entertainment at times, friendly service.

Was that the one that was closed for a while due to a sink hole?  If thats the one, I've never had a bad meal there and always thought the service was pretty good.

I never knew that location was closed. but it might have been.
There is also a location that is on Decatur and twain I think that was good as well.

I recently dined at Cosmopolitan Amaya. Not off strip obviously but it’s new and sharing is caring. Food was good,prices good but holy shit both the young lady and I said the music was way too loud.

So if you like Amaya then you should check out Mijo Modern Mexican at the Durango casino. They are owned by the same company the menu is quite similar as well.
