Seeking clarification on this . . . Are you referring to smothering or breath control/suffocation?
I just want to point out to everyone on this board that suffocation/asphyxiation/breath control is considered "edge play" and is ** potentially life-endangering ** in the wrong play partners' hands. If you (the TER readers) even contemplate this this type of very dangerous play, don't ever do it in a setting where your play partner is not CPR trained and, even then, preferably in a context where you can reclaim your air supply if you absolutely had to (i.e., your hands are free if you had to rip off a the plastic or push away whatever is blocking your air supply).
Smothering/face-sitting, by contrast, is considerably safer.
"Potentially" life-endangering? POTENTIALLY? Asphyxiophilia IS life-endangering, LeChiffre.
I agree that it's edgy play and that it shouldn't even be considered unless the players have all that you've listed (CPR and a way to reclaim your air). That goes for all of it, regardless if it's hands, a plastic bag or a hose up your nose.
But, make no mistake: asphyxiophilia IS life-endangering. It's also brain-endangering; the lack of oxygen will damage the brain even if it doesn't kill you. There's nothing POTENTIALLY endangering about it. It is what it is.
For the record, I think it's one of the most bone-headed ways to play. The BDSM playground is already and inherently less safe than regular sexual activities. This is asking for trouble in NON-providing circles where money isn't even an issue; imagine how much worse it can be for a provider if something unexpected (and perhaps deadly) happens?
I do not recommend eating shit, but I am the Golden & Brown shower MASTER, so to each his own pleasure party!
I provide all fantasies, or fetishes & always discuss the risks prior to play.
Definitely not for newbies, either to do or to experience.
And this post brings up something that I will have to address in a new post...more later
