Aquablation

My urologist recommended this procedure for my enlarged prostate.  Does anyone have any experience with aquablation.

I'm looking at HOLEP for my procedure. I understand it is the gold standard. It uses a laser which can cauterize any blood vessels that starts bleeding. But aquablation sounds like a similar technique, using water instead of a laser. Stay tuned in a couple of months I'll know how effective it is. And I'm looking forward to it. Peeing like a teenager again at this point, is almost as good as a good orgasm. Oh, downside of HOLEP is the potential for retrograde ejaculation, where your load goes into the bladder instead of forward out of the penis. Possibly aquablation will have the same problem?

...my eurologist says, "Yes," same problem.

I just had Greenlight laser surgery in June.  Every aspect of the surgery was awesome - little bleeding afterwards, peeing like a race horse, fully-recovered now and able to exercise, etc.  There's only one downside . . . and it's the dreaded RE.  Still feels the same when I come but it's a little weird not to ejaculate.  I have another followup with my Doc in a few weeks and will ask if this is a permanent thing.  I'm afraid he's gonna say "yes."
