Spending some time with Tonya was like listening to Ravel’s Bolero. She started off soft and unassuming when I first arrived, then with each passing minute the tempo and octaves increased until reaching a powerful crescendo. Don’t be dismayed or fooled by Tonya’s staid initial presence because she goes from sedate to seductress in perfect measure.
