why do some people feel the need to bog down the board with pictures? i could understand if they were the one who took them and wanted to show off if you would, their work. but that not being the case ANYONE can find porn on the internet and post a link to a picture. why bother? i just skip those threads but my question goes to the "root of the problem" what motivates them to do this EVERY WEEK?
especially when they're posted by some of the "good guy" reputable posters and reviewers here on TER.I appreciate the time they put into finding them; than cutting and pasteing them here on the board.
That being said,I'm not one for surfing the net for porno sites and their nickle and dimeing pop up ads or pay per view monthly charges that require a credit card and blah blah blah...
to me,that's more of a bog down than scrolling through TER.
So seeing a few pictures here of some very attractive women is very soothing to VR's eyes just as picking up and pageing through the latest copy of PLAYBOY mag to find "only" a good article or two...NOT!...lol

why does it matter to you who the poster is if they submit reviews ect. if the pic is good then the pic is good.
i just dont think this is the place for a picture gallery.
maybe the people who enjoy it should create a yahoo group and send their pics there. as far as im concerned they do not add anything to TER they do not contain information. they are the ideal OT and as such dont bellong here

Slowing it down?? Not sure if that is the cause for periods of slowness. Number of concurrent users and many other factors come into play.
by bogg i did not mean slowing it down, just filling the board with useless crap
no problem with the pics at all. Now the need for 30 responses to say they liked them does somewhat elude me
exceptions. Woneye has voice his strong objection, but even THIRSTY, our moderator, doesn't have a problem with the weekend picture gallery! Thirsty's only remark was about 'copy cat' posters.
Since the pic post galleries seem to get in excess of 500-600 hits, I'll probably resume posting them AFTER this weekend, when I'll be away.

That being said, when the thread gets 5 or 6 hundred hits, one has to assume that the general concensus is favorable. To be honest, your's is the first post I've seen, that had an opposing point of view.
I'll agree with you, that if the board started getting flooded with daily pics by numerous posters, it would be a problem. Thirsty was on top of this, and I think everyone heard his message loud and clear. Many do not want to see the Sunday morning pics discontinued. Also, some of us don't want to "Buck Up" for access to the sites that some of those pics come from. Ergo, we're getting a freebie, so to speak. If it weren't for those pictures, I may never have discovered Kyla Cole. She is the most beautiful blue eyed, raven haired woman I have every seen. I'm going to make it my mission to "Turn Her Out!" Now there's a lady I'd spend $$$$$$$$$ for! Lol.
A lot of time goes into the posts. They are always there with my morning coffee, and I get up very early! Skip the thread if you like, but while everyone is in Church this Sunday, praying for the new Pope, I'll be mourning, my morning, minus many magnificent manifestations of feminine pulchritude!

it usually doesn't go on for more space than this thread you started. i see it as breaking up the usual posts. no harm, no foul.
It's not the length of the threads that I notice. I just don't want multiple threads containing pictures on the same page.
