1 to post asking a question or making a comment about the hobby, attempting to share thoughts and concerns or obtain the collective wisdom of others
Then...
14 to share similar experiences and how they handle it differently
16 add their own perspective
7 more ask questions of their own
13 respond completely off topic
7 to caution about the dangers of this hobby
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts
5 to flame the posters who failed to use spell checkers
6 to correct spelling/grammar flames
... another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive
... another 7 to condemn the previous condemners as anal-expulsive
2 posters, 1 male and 1 female, to flirt back and forth taking up several lines in the middle of other posts
2 to inform the group what the proper term is
15 know-it-alls who claim this information is perfectly correct
10 will just agree/disagree in the title line then type (EOM)
19 to post that this board is not the proper place and to please take this discussion to the politics, newbie, humor boards
11 to defend the posting to this board saying that posts are relevant
16 to debate which method is superior, where to buy the best, what brand works best for this application
7 to post URLs where one can see examples
4 to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly and then post the
corrected URLs
13 to use this opportunity as a sales pitch
5 to flame the salesman for being so blatant and making a sales pitch
2 to defend the salesman for trying to make a living
5 just make smartass remarks, (plus 1 to tell Lex he is exempt from this because we enjoy his wit)
14 using an alias to harshly flame
15 to falme that person for using an alias
3 to claim that if you do not respond to the alias, they will just go away
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the nastiness and rank name-calling that has developed in the controversy
4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "Do a Google search on this topic"
1 board lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again
