Well I have seen ladies who worked through Exotica, they mentioned that they had a few clients who were  US Senators. They didn't name names but I don't think they would mention it unless they could back it up. That and a simple law of averages. There are probably more than two Senators on the "list" but I would put good money on a bet that there are at least two.

read the NY Daily News article carefully. In addition to the agency keeping DETAILED profiles and records of clients, they also have credit card charges and receipts on many of the clients.
If you think that by leaving those records doesn't put the guys in serious potential legal jeopardy, think again.
Lesson: Do NOT use credit cards to see providers. At least with cash you MIGHT have some deniability.

Good point Rick. The rumor is that the tabloids already have the E2K client list. I would not be suprised to see an Internet posting of names shortly.  There is a lot of nonsense and downright misinformation about what is going to happen as a consequence of the E2K bust.  I strongly doubt that the gov't, either at the federal or state level, will be going after any of the PS's or clients.  But, what is a real possibility is a public airing of E2K clients.  That, in itself, should scare the shit out of hobbyists.

There is nothing illegal about escorting or paying for escorts.  What guys should worry about their receipts is when there are other things behind the money like laundering or extortion.  And, ladies, you should all be incorporated and paying your taxes.

SO what might happen to the people who gave out personal information?  Should they get a lawyer?

What am I supposed to be denying...that I had some hot looking chick come and spend some time with me.  I pay my lawyer, accountant, doctor, etc. with credit card sometimes...are they gonna look at that too!  The last time I booked some time ... there were only two people in the room...the worst thing I've got is a "he said/she said".
Credit card receipts prove nada, nothing, zip.

...And you can bet they are going to be looking to set up a few witnesses from that client list. What side of the "he said/she said" story will your S.O. believe?

Ok Jennifer is right techically its not illegal. But with all your info on record. Your CC info and anything else the government wants of there detailed records. I would be very worried if I ever paid with a CC card or used an agency like E2k with all my personal info.

Its all going to come down to how aggressive the DOJ and IRS are. Threats of outing a guy makes for lose lips. So does the threats of seized possesions or threats of child services paying you a visit if your a provider. At some point some ones or many some ones are going to get squezzed.

In an American court more times then not, its person against person and with a paper trail doesnt make take much to make life hell for some one. Plus a Pissed of wife or partner.

Look at Michael Jackson there running him over the coals.

I would be willing to put good odds on one if not both being Republicans. Not to mention possibly high level Law Enforcement officals. The list will never see the light of day in a Courtroom if even on the Internet.

Where did you find out that two Senators are on the list?

With all due respect to those that say "I have nothing to worry about, I didn't do anything illegal (that they can prove that is, *wink-wink*)...", I think Rick's point that you should ask yourself is the risk worth it.  For me, June would be devastated if she found out about my visiting an escort.  I just don't think telling her I pay money to my lawyer, doctor and dentist would cut it with June.

In a court of law though, that would be fine.  But what about the court of public opinion.  I don't plan on seeking an elected position nor applying for some government job that requires background investigation, so June is all I have to worry about.  But we saw what happened to Paris Hilton's blackberry when it got in the hands of the tabloids.  With the zealousness of our elected officials, watch those names, be them famous or not, get published, find their way to some database somewhere and then if I ever do decide to do something that would motivate someone to look into my history....

Even in the business world, the unscrupulous that are looking for any edge to get a promotion can so easily find your name on the database, leak it out (or threaten to) just for personal or financial gain.  AY YI YI!!!

I ask you, are airline miles worth it??
