First time to DC! I'll be visiting soon and just curious about stuff to do, aside from visit the White House.  Any good restaurants? Best area to stay in? Thanks for the suggestions!!

It is a charming old timey restaurant with decent prices and spectacular food.

There's more traffic on the DC board than here, so you might get more response.
.
Hosting locations: Most visiting providers host in the Dupont Circle area or in Tysons Corner, or spend a few days in each.
.
Things to do: The Smithsonian museums are all free and mostly great. Seeing the monuments at night is great if it's not too cold. If you like live music or theater, there's a lot going on. The new Anthem club in the redeveloping Wharf district is pretty nice.
.
Restaurants: I'm not a huge foodie, but Rasika (two locations) and Zaytinya (Penn Quarter) are two of my longstanding go-to's.
.
Hope you have a great visit. Be sure to put ad(s) up on the DC ad board.

Thanks Barry that's really helpful info!! :) I'm thinking of either Dupont or somewhere downtown to stay. And yes, I did put an ad up on the DC board but the dates on it are wrong. I'll be there a bit earlier. I will put the new one up in a couple days when the current one expires so stay tuned!

Layla
