Hello, LA! Being up in the Northeast this winter has me daydreaming of heading your way for some fun & sun. I'm a bit intimidated by the sprawl and size of it though, coming from NYC and Boston. What neighborhoods do you recommend I check out were I to come out that way? What would be most convenient, comfortable, and upscale? Feel free to message me hotel names, too, though that should (obviously) be kept private. Thanks!

Out of an RV there are many very nice neighborhoods where you can park and not draw attention to your business.

and their are a lot of things to go see and do there as well.   Naturally it is the most expensive, but if you come before April, you can snag some good prices.

After that, it gets expensive.

Oops, I meant for LA-- I posted in their regional board but see it was moved to a general travel board. I used to live in Back Bay and am visiting the area again this week!

Thanks though!

there are a few near LAX you should check out.  They are in old warehouses.   I got a tour of one on my last trip there, and it was quite eye-opening, for sure.

Otherwise go to Hollywood and walk the walk of fame (Not!)
