I'd be stretching things If I said the Rio Grande Valley was a tropical paradise or even a lush vacation playground. It is, however, very cheap to fly into, stay, rent a car etc for those looking to gtfo of the snow this winter. $2K will get you there with accomodations for a week, car and getting laid or blown at least 5 of those days.
