I was on another discussion and review site and I had a hard time submitting reviews so I gave up and took the free option. I was told by someone on the site that my membership was being canceled because I had so many reviews on this site and not on his. I get the "what have you done for me lately" feeling on this site. Eventually they will end up like all other sites that so fade into the background because they look for paying members and really do nothing about the old timers that built up this board back in 2002. I don't see many from the first days of this TS board.
Now the performance scores are VIP only? Am I the only one being affected by this recession? Congratulations, you just cut my page view in half or less.

This new VIP restriction just about ends the usefulness of this board for me.
I submitted a couple of reviews shortly after joining months back, with the intention of getting/buying VIP status. One review was a low to middling grade for a TS that at one time had stellar reviews,but of late had been getting mixed & poor reviews on other boards. The review was rejected because my "results" were not consistent with previous reviews. Never mind that her reviews continue to be poor on other boards. That info is why we come to this board.
The second review gave very high marks for a well know TS provider. I asked for an explaination of the rejection & the answer recieved was nothing wrong with the review, they just didn't want to accept it from someone new.
Both reviews were well written, humorous & informative & have been welcomed on other boards. I no longer choose to even try to post reviews here due to arbitrary nature of the powers that be. I don't have time for petty crap. I will go where info can easily be exchanged without hassle.

I've submitted a number of well written reviews(I am constantly complimented personally and professionally for my informative yet interesting writing). They have all been rejected with not so much as a comment as to why. This discussion board is pretty much the only reason left to bother coming here. Sad because I see a lot of TS gals and could be a good source of info.

Now it's not just performance but looks as well are restricted!!!!
As much as I'd love to get VIP I can't have it showing up on the CC bill and I can't shell out cash on a regular basis.
These changes suck.
Pre-paid VISA cards.

You & dog & the information & humor is one reason to visit the discussion part of the board. And I can communicate to a limited degree my experience in Texas.
After the mods rejected my first two reviews for no valid reason, I decided my reviews will go elsewhere. They seem to enjoy them over there. I would never pay to join VIP at this point--that would be rewarding poor management practices.
Someone needs marketing 101--you give people enough information to tease their imagination & some will pay to see the rest. Give too little & they will stop coming & you lose your chance to convert the sale. Just my .04
