You do know I left you that "out" about "average" on purpose

You're welcome. lol

Ironically I made my living at Los Alamitos betting the Quarter Horses and Arabians (four furlong races)  just a few years after you were at Santa Anita. I did well enough to pay for a nice house (rent, not own) in Newport beach, only about 25 houses north of the Pier. Back then of course Newport Beach was just "nice" not ridiculously expensive like it is today. When I was 19, I was living in LV and back then no one cared how old I was, I had markers in several casinos long before I was even old enough to legally gamble, but those were VERY different times back then.

It is funny, back in my late teens and through my twenties almost all my friends, and GF's were older, 40 years later I am the exact opposite, I don't want to hang around with grandma's and grandpa's, I simply can't relate to their lives, not to mention I might be dating one of their granddaughters. lol

I know this was a suggestion a while back. Looks like TER went for it. It's at the top of the Regional Ad boards list. No ladies have posted there yet. The time stamp says it was started yesterday.

On a national level. Some sites have a "green" light when they're on line. Don't know if something like that will play here.
Well let's see what happens....lol

an "available now" banner, I never saw the attraction in making that part of my decision.  I imagine a young guy that is driving along and looks down and sees he has a boner and doesn't think he can just "relax" it away until a more convenient time might find this an important feature, but not sure most working guys who usually book two days or longer in advance will have much use for it.  I know I would have no reason to check it.  I don't do same-day appointments.

Oh yeah, I guess you are speaking for yourself, but not for me. lol

I almost always book "same-day" and I STRONLY disagree that an "available now" feature is only useful to young guys. I am your age and when I want to get laid, sometimes I want to get laid "right fucking now" or at least within the next couple of hours, I can't honestly remember the last time I booked two days in advance.

I guess it not just white women who get old fast, you old white guys act thirty years older than me too. lol

we are different in that respect.  I realize you are not known for planning ahead or your self control when it comes to pussy.  If that makes me older than you, then I guess I am.  Lol

and we all know that where it comes to P4P  "mature" is just another word for OLD. lol

I rest my case.

and you can just "rest" old man. lol

this afternoon with a "mature" (that's over 30 by your definition)  hottie that prefers I be "mature."   I will rest AFTER.  Lol

Likewise 60 "ish" isn't really that old for a man with those good Asian genes. OTOH, have you seen the average 60 something white guy? lol

When I was in my teens and twenties I used to hate looking "young for my age" My how a few decades can change your attitude about a lot of things. lol

between an "average" 60 yo, and one who has been lifting weights four days a week for 40 years is as wide as the grand canyon.

I have always "acted" mature, so when I was 19, I helped work my way through college betting the ponies at Santa Anita after classes each day from January through April, then Hollywood Park a few days a week in the spring/summer, and Del Mar (a bit of a drive) in the late summer.  I got to where I could make a few hundred dollars a day on average without much risk and that sure beat having a "normal" college job.    I arranged my classes so I could get there by the third or fourth race.  No one who works there ever carded me or asked me how old I was, and I made all my own bets.

I liked looking "older" than twenty-one in those days, but it has been a struggle to keep looking like that.   Actually, I will admit it has been a losing struggle.  Lol     Most women guess my age at 10-12 years younger than I am, but that still means I look 50-ish to them.  And the ones I pay for sex say I look 20 years younger.  I think THEY are more accurate.  Lol

You're welcome. lol

around 1983 when I found out they were moving harness racing (which had started filling the Fall racing season  for me after the Del Mar thoroughbred meet)  from Hollywood Park to Los Al.  That was the year they increased Hollywood Park's track from a mile to a mile and an eighth in preparation for the first Breeders Cup.  As you probably know, over a mile doesn't work for trotters and pacers.  I actually found harness at Los Al more exciting because of the shorter 5/8th-mile track.  It was my betting passion for about three years during the times I was not deployed in the military.

Unfortunately, I never got very interested in quarter horses.  If you sneeze or bend down to tie your shoe, you can miss the whole race.  Lol

Really? Fucking Really???

Y’all 2 are debating “maturity” on a monger site? I just am glad as hell, that 56 ain’t nearly as mature as it used to be!!!

But with a little "local knowledge" I found them much easier to handicap than thoroughbreds. It's funny the things you remember, one thing I will never forget is on days with any kind of "off track" the inside of the track was the last part to dry out, if there was any rain over the previous two days and you had equal horses coming out of gate one and gate six, bet the six horse every time, the middle of the track was a good half length faster. lol

I was there only a year or so before you, if memory serves me right it was around 81-82 or so. I didn't stay there long, but I have to say I enjoyed it immensely. If you recall, Huntington beach was full of pier rats then and Newport beach was a lot of fun and not as "snooty" as it is now. I loved living on the beach there. Making a few hundred bucks a day sure went a lot further back then than it does now. I bet the house I lived in then for about $3,000 month back then could probably Airbnb for the same amount per day now.

I know you are making a joke, but since I usually give a joking answer to serious questions, I'll give your joking question a serious answer.

There is are several different kinds of "off tracks" Everything from "sloppy" where a horse with "big feet" can actually post times faster than on a "fast track" this actually comes from the horse hydroplaning off the surface water on the track that is relatively hard underneath, then there are also good, muddy, and a dozen other types of conditions that horses race under.

sorry to fuck up your good joke with a serious answer, but there are a couple of posters here who shall remain nameless who are just waiting in the wings waiting for either CDL or myself to make a mistake about something like this so they can jump in and claim neither of us have even been to a track because we didn't know such and such about it

relying strictly on our memories about shit in the 1980's.  I think you got all of the dirt track conditions right. I will add two from memory for turf races . . . . . "Firm"  is equivalent to "dry" on a dirt track, and "yielding" is equivalent to muddy.

If I got anything wrong, which I don't think I did, again, it was the fucking 1980's.  Why post about your "experience" if you have to look it up first, right?  That's the intellectual dishonesty those guys bring to the board.  Nerds one and all.

Observe:
It can be confusing to some:

A client could post a location/radius, price range, specific date (or range), as well as parameters for age, appearance, and service offerings. Providers could contact via PM or email and off to the races they'd go! Just a wild and crazy thought on my part but has anything like that ever been tried on TER (or elsewhere)?

Yes.
It was called "ISO Posts" (In-Search-Of...).
Should still be possible?

Most of the idiots posting on ISO didn't even bother mentioning what city and state they were looking for.

40% of the OP's started off with "Does anyone know Tiffany?" Another 40% would say something like "looking for a green eyed red head" and maybe 20% would make posts where a useful answer was actually even possible.

Will Available Now only be an outlet for Providers who don't screen? Or for those few sitting in a hotel room and a meeting cancellation or no show?  What do you (guys, gals) consider the "NOW" window to be? Is "now" immediately now (time stamp on post + 4 hours)? Or is "now" = "call me now and let's something up for next week."?
.
Will some abuse Avail Now to entice callers only to tell them, "Something came up and I'm not available now, but check out my website and let's schedule for the day after tomorrow at 4 PM."
.
That's why I like an Availability Calendar which gives time for all parties to better plan a day or two or three in advance. Several agencies have used calendar software that let's post the availability of their models well in advance; click on a name and you get to her webpage at the agency site. The software exists.
.
Will TER have rules or regs for the posts? Date and Time should be deducible from the time stamp on the post. Anything that says "yesterday" or older is no longer "now" and is expired ... or is it?  If you post at 11:58 PM (TER time), your post says it was posted "1 minute ago." However, 3 minutes later, when the TER clock crosses over to 12:01 AM (the next calendar day), your post says it was posted "yesterday."
.
Should the subject line be required to have city / location?

Will IMP continue to make something so simple complicated for no good reason?

Will IMP try to change "available now" which EVERYONE should be able to understand into something that NO ONE will understand?

Will IMP continue to lobby for features that NOBODY wants even after Admin decides to go another, more sensible direction?

... who have complicated lives and can't tell when an opportune time will pop up unexpectedly.

Would be more helpful if there was an "available now" on the regional boards. Problem is that I doubt providers would keep it updated. The other place is easier with the online/offline and very helpful when a date backs out on you. Good for last minute appointments.
