A comment recently read noted that some of the posts were rejected as they contained VIP level info. I assume that means Juicy Details information that would be found in reviews.
I've never experienced that and have provider some pretty details comments at times so not sure if the issue was posting information that was present in a review but should only be available to VIP members.
Still, there is a value to discussing details on the boards but clearly the discussion boards are open to anyone --- no log in required even. Putting information out that is what TER makes it money on just won't work well. But how difficult would it be to posts/threads that require VIP accounts to see? That might actually create additional value for the user base and so help drive revenue for TER.
I can't see TER having the manpower or the compute power to monitor posts upon submission and BEFORE being posted.
Normally, "Report this post" would probably result in removal of the post or the thread if there was any TER, VIP or not, violation.

TER would have to create a new category of post that would only allow VIP readers to open and read that post while keeping it in the relevant forum. Seems to me that would require a lot of sophisticated code ... that could even break the current system we currently have.

Another possibility is that posts could be moved to a "VIP only" Forum (like Reviewers Only, Providers Only). Probably easier to implement within the current framework ... but non-VIP (basic only) members wouldn't even bother going to that forum.
